“Beautiful Boutique Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2013

I stayed at this fantastic hotel for 3 nights with my partner in August 2013 and I cannot speak highly enough of our experience there. The attention to detail in everything they do here is absolutely exemplary. From the choice of furniture and toiletry products, to the variety of fruit and other goodies on the breakfast table, everything about this place reflects a true passion for hospitality. The hosts were in fact among the kindest and most friendly I have met in any hotel I have been to.
The breakfast is an experience in itself: gorgeous fresh fruit, juices and pastries to be enjoyed on the hotel's terrace with magnificant views of the Duomo and the Catehdral.
The only slight downside was that the shower in the room we stayed in was quite small ... but other than that everything was simply perfect.

We stayed for 3 nights from 22 August
Loved the feel of this Boutique Hotel. The staff were friendly and were happy to help and go that extra mile, especially Maria Louisa who welcomed us when we arrived and went out of her way with helpful tips for places to eat, things to see and do in her beautiful Quirky Siena.
The rooms are very clean and comfortable with a shower that works well.
The view from the terrace is amazing! We had a fabulous breakfast everyday overlooking Siena.
The only thing I could say that was negative is we would have loved an English speaking Movie Channel! There were so many channels but only MTV was in English.
Apart from that I would highly recommend staying here...

Campo Regio Relais provided the feeling of living in a flat in Siena with the convenience and service of a fine B&B/hotel. The hosts were perhaps the most friendly, helpful people I have ever encountered in the hospitality industry - no exaggeration. For instance, after taking our bags from the rented Audi A6 (a big car for Siena's streets) a young man named Giovanni road with me to the public garage to make sure I arrived safely, dealt with the parking workers in Italian and walked back to the hotel with me. Mary Louisa made excellent recommendations for dinner at local neighborhood restaurants. CRP has 5 rooms, each of which is unique; we booked a suite with a barreled roof that looked out the back and a smaller room for our two teenaged sons that looked out onto the surprisingly quiet street. The view from our suite, and the terrace one floor above, was spectacular: the Duomo was on a hill directly a half-mile away; the Basilica Domenico was a few hundred yards to the right; and the valley flowed out in between. A lovely continental breakfast was served in the mornings, and the public lounge and terrace were open all day and night (with an honor bar, books to read, etc.). The only downside to the hotel was rather poor WIFI reception in the rooms. It would be an ideal location for a romantic stay, or a small family like ours.

Room Tip: Rooms in back have spectacular views.

Ideal spot from which explore old Siena, the terrace has wonderful views of the duomo on the hill opposite. Clean, well appointed room (#2) with comfortable king bed, small but functional shower room and real linen sheets with windows verlooking the street. The hotel is a renovated 17th C pallazzo which makes for a quirky layout but it all works well. Note: access by car is a challenge....take a cab if possible. Otherwise, park anywhere around the main football stadium and walk down to the hotel. The beautiful old town in Siena is essentially pedestrians only so dump the car at the first opportunity and have a walkabout.

We traveled with our two teenaged boys ages 14 and 16. We had two rooms on separate floors but it was no problem as this felt like staying in a home with the front door always locked and secure. Our room had a spectacular view of the Siena Cathedral, a king-sized bed and a sitting area. The large bathroom had a really interesting shower with a waterfall feature. Our window overlooked the Casa di Santa Caterina. The internet was not great in our room, but was great in the community terrace/sitting room which was so comfortable and lovely that I preferred to be there anyway. Our room overlooked There were two very nice restaurants around the corner on the steepest street in Siena called Zest and Osterio le Chiacchero. The location was excellent and the breakfast on the terrace is what I will miss most of all!

I can't say enough about the hospitality of Maria Luisa and Giovanni. They went out of their way to help with parking our car and navigating out of the confusing roads of Siena. Giovanni even drove part of the way out of town with us. I only wish we had planned to stay longer.

Room Tip: Pay extra for the view!

Our family of 4 (2 teenagers) stayed at this gem of a hotel for 2 nights in July. The kids had a great little room facing the main street but my husband and I had one of the nicest rooms that we've ever stayed in! The view of Siena from our balcony was unparalled. I could've spent the entire day gazing at the duomo and surrounding streets and listening to the church bells. Truly magnificent! To add to the experience, the staff was excellent! Carlo and his team go out of their way to make you feel welcome and pampered in every way. Thanks for making our stay so enjoyable!

Room Tip: Room #5 is a true gem and well worth the splurge!
