We have often found that getting a bit off the beaten track equals a much better dining experience, and that proved especially true at I Barberi. The food was outstanding and the service polite, helpful, and very fun. I had a traditional Sienese pasta dish of hand rolled noodles, pecorino, and black pepper which was a symphony of simplicity. My dining companions had the luscious ravioli with fresh ricotta and savory tomato sauce and crepes filled with a cloud of light, but filling spinach and cheese. We felt as though we could have thrown a dart at the menu and come away with a wonderful meal. The waitress was patient with my broken italian/Spanish mix, and actually spoke impeccable English. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
