“Tastes of Tuscany”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2012

This was one of our highlights of our stay in Tuscany! Gina, Ryan and Sira make a great team with a good balance between professionalism and fun. The experience of preparing, cooking and then sharing the meal with Gina and Ryan, along with some local wines was an something that we would highly recommend - and at last we can make fresh pasta! The Old Mill house venu, and the perfectly prepared ingredients was a feast for the eyes (and a great photo opportunity) when we walked in, and set the tone for the rest of the day. Since arriving back home (Durban, South Africa), we have tried a different recipe from the recipe book that Gina gave us, and of course it's not quite the same as being in the Tuscan countryside, but it was a huge success!

“Cooking Class”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2012

Ecco La Cucina is in a 900 year old farmhouse and is wonderful. It is owned and operated by an American who has been living in Tuscany for 15 years. Our class was taught by an American chef who studied under the owner.
We made a 4 course delicious meal and learned how to make fresh pasta by hand. After you finish preparing the entire meal, the group sits down in the garden to eat what you have made. We also tried 4 different local wines to accompany each dish. I enthusiastically recommend this cooking class. Price is about the same as other one day classes.

“Had a Wonderful Class”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2012

Still digesting the delicious lunch we made in our four hour long class. WOW!! We made a entire four course meal and it was so outstanding. Excellent, attentive, and kind teacher and helper; wonderfully friendly classmates (a family from Scotland); and delicious food prepared in ways totally new to me and very clearly demonstrated and taught. We got to pitch and and do all the steps, so we really got a good idea. Plus the cookbook was right there so we could take notes in it as we worked. The beautiful restored mill and farmhouse where the class was held added to the charm. Definitely worth the time and cost!

“A wonderful way to experience Tuscany”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2012

Gina Stipo has put together a perfect week for food enthusiasts and those who love Tuscany. Her cooking class is hands-on fun and results are amazingly delicioso! Gina brings an American perspective to Italian life and cuisine. Having lived there for twelve years, she speaks the language fluently and makes the forays into villages and wineries much more interesting for her class participants. Her sister, Mary Stipo Potter, finds great places to stay in the region. Our villa was just perfect with views to take the breath away. If you are looking for a cooking class in Italy this is the one. Molto Bene, Gina and Mary!

“The best cooking experience ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2012

Over the years I have taken many cooking classes & attended several cooking schools, but this tops them all. To be truly immersed in the culture of a country is amazing and that is what Gina and Mary provided. The food and wine were amazing, the tours out into the surrounding cities and wineries/farms so informative and educational to a foodie like me, that I can't recommend it enough. Even if you have been to Italy many times, you will never have an experience like this. Gina is truly an insider in the culture and she shares that experience with you. And besides that it was just plain fun!
