“Very good”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2014

We liked this restaurant so much my husband and I returned 3 times during our stay and many of our group did as well. The spagetti with clams, sliced steak, pizza.... was delicious. We lucked out and had the same server each time. She was very friendly and provided great service. The restaurant is close to Hotel Chiusarelli.
Highly recommend this restaurant.

“Good view with good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2014

The first restaurant we tried in Tuscany. The reason we came here is they don't close in the afternoon, and it is unexpectedly nice than I thought. Come and try it out if u r nearby. BTW, also enjoy the gorgeous view ;)

“Good food in a popular restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2014

You know it is a good choice when there are three restaurants in a row, one is almost full and the others are empty. The view is spectacular and the food was good. A nice atmosphere

“Spectacular view, OK food, Expensive wine”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2014

First, let me discuss the view. This restaurant is perched at the base of the Basilica di San Domenico. The view is spectacular as you see the town from a different perspective. Excellent views of the Duomo dome and Mangia Tower.

We ordered rather simple pasta dishes. Penne with tomatoes and spag with clams. Although the meals were OK, they were nothing to write home about. Our two daughters aged 15 & 18 thought they were really good, but both my wife and I were left unimpressed. We were quite confused ordering the wine. They said that they did not have house wine but we were pointed to a list that the server said was the house special. It cost us 10 Euros for a very small bottle. Other restaurants we have been frequenting were charging much less for a 1/2 litre (way more than what we got). Also, the wine was nothing special. The girls then ordered a Tiramisu which they thought was very good.

The service staff were very welcoming, friendly and efficient. Nothing to complain about here!

All-in-all, I would neither recommend nor advise against.

Gentilissimi,

“Average restaurant”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2014

This place was recommended by our hotel and it does have a wonderful view of the Duomo. It's friendly enough and service is efficient but the food is average only and the ambience leaves something to be desired. Nothing to complain about but nothing particularly to recommend it either.

Gentile Barry,
