“Second stay at Albergo Bernini!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2012

We stayed only one night at this hotel 2 years ago, and it was the biggest regret of our trip! This time we stayed 2 nights, and brought friends! Eugenia was our host, and was so gracious and helpful! She made dinner reservations for us, helped get us on a bus to Florence and spoke to us extensively about the Palio races! Of course we loved the terrace! Our three teens played cards out there one evening, while the adults enjoyed a bottle of wine provided by Eugenia! I highly recommend this hotel! It is centrally located, small, friendly, has stellar views and feels like home! We will definitely be back!

This is a clean modest home with nine rooms.Nadia and Mauro welcome you. Great terrace view for breakfast. Great location. You will feel you are in old Italy, we loved it.
Would go again and again.

We absolutely felt at home here. The gals that work here went out of their way to make our stay so pleasant. From helping with bus and museum tickets, dinner suggestions and a cup of tea and a cookie for a afternoon rest. We will definitely come back and pass this bed and breakfast to friends and family.

Isn't the most luxurious but the cleanliness, staff, and location make it well worth the money. The family who operates the hotel were extremely helpful and accommodating. Really enjoyed our stay there for two days. The breakfast and view from the terrace is worth the price. It is well located within walking distance to everything. I would stay here again and rate it a solidly 4:5.

Room Tip: Get room with own bathroom

Room was average however had great views over Chiesa de San Domenico, clean & tidy with small but adequate bathroom. Centrally located, very close to the Piazza where the bus stops (took the train, then the quick bus trip). Terrace where breakfast was had beautiful views to the Duomo & down the valley to the vista that is Tuscany.

The host made the place, she was very very helpful & lovely (nicest person in our 2 weeks in Italy).

Overall good for a couple of nights, would definitely go back there. Plus place is very small with limited number of rooms which is nice.

Room Tip: We went for room with bathroom with the views, well worth it.

Loved it here. Owners so friendly and helpful. Good location. Will return soon. If traveling by bus or train in this area, come in by bus as it is about 1/2 mile to the hotel Train station quite a ways out. Many a hill to go up if you arrive by train

Some other reviewers called Albergo Bernini 'charming,' and I think that's a great way to describe it. Our room was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Our room shared three total bathrooms with all other rooms on the floor -- brought me back to my college dorm, caddying my bathroom supplies across the hall! But there was never too much traffic to make sharing a bathroom a problem. We had breakfast under a great view of the Duomo. The only drawback for us was the walls are relatively thin -- we could hear the couples on either side of our room snoring in stereo.
