The Cathedral in Siena is a beautiful medieval church with white and black marble stripes. There are some lovely works of art by Donatello, Bernini and Michelangelo inside the Cathedral. The architecture alone could keep you there. The recently discovered crypt beneath the Duomo makes this a must see if you're touring Siena and Tuscany in general. Apparently the crypt was never used for burials, and had not been seen for about 700 years. It opened to the public in 2003.
Siena is a a beautiful city in Tuscany and is famous for it Palio (horse race) in the Piazza del Campo.
The city does wind and there are a few slight hills to walk as you weave through the maze of caffes, shops, museums, and restaurants. Should you have any physical challenges, you may want to check before going on accommodations and facilities.
