We arrived at the hotel on 10th September 2012 looking forward to our first special holiday together. We had booked a 'superior double' through Citalia in February this year with half-board. To our extreme dismay we were shown to a dark dismal twin room in one of the annexes where substantial net curtains hid the view of a tree and busy road outside the window.
We immediately compained but were told that the hotel was completely full so nothing could be done for at least two days. That evening we were shown an extensive menu (with prices) which did lift our spirits a little. Unfortunately, when we said that we were half board the menu was taken away and replaced by a very boring menu of two starters and two main courses. We felt like second class citizens so we made a deal with the hotel that we would prefer to have one course from the main menu in preference to the HB menu. They agreed and then did show us a room that we could move into on the Wednesday. It was still in an annexe but a slightly larger room and it had tea making facilities. Great!
Unfortunately, I will keep this brief now as you will be getting bored, The air con leaked into the room as soon as we put it on so it actually did not work at all. They 'fixed' it over a three day period after we complained each day as it had leaked each day and nearly caused a serious accident when my partner slipped on the wet floor. The kettle was very hazardous as it did not switch off properly. Replenishment of the tea/milk never happened.
In summary, I would say that two of the annexes (that we were in) are in a poor state of repair and very tired. The reception staff tried to be very helpful and attempted to rectify the problems when we complained. I would suggest that the overall management of the hotel leaves a lot to be desired as detailed information about what a visitor can expect within the hotel is limited. I feel sure that some visitors were very happy with the hotel if they were lucky enough to be allocated the 'superior' room that we expected or that they were in part of the hotel that had refurbished rooms?
Don't pay for anything prior to arrival, you may be disappointed!

Dear Angie S,
Report response as inappropriate
thank for sharing you opinion on Tripadvisor with the other traveller.
Our Hotel has its own charme due to the fact of being not settled in a singular square building, or being located in a disturbing main road or similar....but, on the contrary, being settled in our huge garden, where the three buildings are located few meters one from each other and all of them protected from the streets surrounding our wide property.
Hotel Garden offers several categories of rooms, from the Standard room furnished with modern style to the Superior and Deluxe room furnished with Classic and Antique furniture.
Our restaurant propose a wide menu with typical tuscan food a la carte together to the possibility to choose an halfboard menu with a moderate price, all served with a wide choie of tuscan famous wines.
I apologize with you concerning the inconvenient with the air conditioning and with the boiler, i will investigate on.
Thanks again for leaving you review together with your suggestions.
