“Great local feel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013

After walking thru the square my husband and I stumbled into this very quaint looking restaurant. We had such a great experience! Our waiter(owner?) was so friendly and made us feel very comfortable. Our meal was delicious and the house chianti was great! We couldn't get over how inexpensive it was! I would recommend this to everyone!

“Love this place! Authentic, delicious Sienese food. A true gem!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2013 via mobile

I have been coming to Siena for seven years now and I am afraid that I have neglected this dear little restaurant. We have tried all of the best restaurants in Siena, and this one certainly deserves your love. It's small and a bit quirky... the best part is that there is a dear little Italian woman who makes everything by hand. The homemade pici pasta with wild mushroom sauce (bosciala) is fantastic. You can't go wrong with any of the pastas. We went there twice this week and loved each one we tried. Simple, delicious and relatively affordable. You won't be disappointed!

“We were the only ones here. Everyone missed out!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

After a terribly long day of travel and a nap, we headed to Il Campo and went here as per Rick Steves. It was a Friday night at 8pm. We were the only ones there! It was a little awkward, but we got excellent service! Ravioli and carbonara were ordered. They were delicious and for sure homemade. Get off the Campo and find this little hole in the wall. Mom, dad, and son still run it, so it's very special to support them and their efforts. Wish we were dining there again....tonight!

“Oh just eat here tonight and you won't be disappointed!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2012

Rick Steve's and trip advisor didn't lead us wrong. The tiny street is hugged up right next to ll Campo building on the opposite side of the tower. The restaurant has been run for years by the cute husband and wife team. We arrived at 7:00 and by 7:45 the place was filled. I ordered a grilled vegetable platter for 4€ and a huge pasta with mussles for 8€. My daughter had green beans and a delicious pasta with a ragu of tomatoes and veggies. Funny the green beans were actually peas. Super place and the carafe of house wine was very good, of course the wine list is great too...after all you are in Tuscany!

This is a real place to eat when at Siena.
Don't miss it. Everything is excellent. Now that I am writing I am tasting the desert that is simply emotional!
