In Sienna, this hotel is considered a good price, and an excellent location. i was charmed by the reviews, and the idea that the hotel is built into a tower. Since I had always wanted to be a Princiess, this seemed like a fun idea. We arrived late, and the hotel left a note with a key to our charming room, at the top of the stairs...of course, the room was small, but the beautiful tuscan ceilings, the comfortable bed, the clean bathroom and cozy atmosphere of the hotel made up for the small room. I know it was a bit too small for my partner, but he was fascinated by the exacting construction of the ancient ceilings which kept him from thinking about how little real space we had...There really wasn't a breakfast with this room, the only negative note; so if you like big breakfasts, don't stay in this one. We had plenty of those elsewhere; Location of this hotel was excellent; a short and wonderful 10 minute walk to the center of the CAMPO which is the most famous one in Italy--the city is truly a dream and makes Florence feel like Manhattan-just too crowded with tourists-Sienna has one major 5 star hotel, the Continale in downtown area; but we liked the quiet, charming manner of this small boutique hotel which was just about $124.00 per night-a bargain!
