“Get the all inclusive pass”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2013

With the all inclusive pass you can see all at a reduced price. The Cathedral, Library,Museum,Crypt, Baptistry and the Oratorio. If you like history and art it is well worth the 12 euro each. Included also is the panorama where you can climb two sets of winding stairs and get a view of Siena and the surrounding countryside. A guided tour is available which will give you more in depth knowledge of what you are seeing. Plan on spending 1-2 hours.

“Amazing Paintings - Great View From Tower”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2013

I wasn't expecting much of the museum. I paid my 7 Euros mainly to go up the tower but thought I'd poke my head inside one of the galleries. I'm so glad I did. There are some lovely paintings and sculpture here, all well displayed. Well worth the entrance fee. The view from the tower is also spectacular.

“Good collection if you are a connoisseur”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

Museo dell'Opera has several floors of iconography and religious statuary, including those by famous Sienese, Duccio. It is an interesting collection, but being an admirer of this genre would make the experience more rewarding. The museum also offers access to the roof with panoramic views, but that may require a significant wait, since they only let in 25-30 people every 15 minutes. On balance, the time investment and the collection may not be worth the price of admission.

All the really old art and sculptures from the Duomo are stored here. It is amazing how much beauty is collected here.
