My husband and I took a private tour with Corrado on July 21st, during our 18-day trip to Italy. We found him here on Trip Advisor, and chose him because of the great reviews we read, as well as his reasonable prices. He picked us up at our hotel at 9:00am, and didn't bring us back until after 5:00pm. We had his undivided attention for the entire day. Corrado was born and raised in Tuscany, and he was able to give us an inside look at the Chianti region that we would have never experienced on our own. We visited two vineyards where we had private tastings, explored some smaller and lesser-known hill towns, and enjoyed a delicious trattoria lunch. His English is excellent, he loves American music and movies, and he has friends in the US, so we were able to have some great conversations that we could all relate to. If you are planning to do a tour in Tuscany, I have two pieces of advice:
1. Do a PRIVATE tour. Yes, it is more expensive, but the experience is so much better than the one you will have on one of those gigantic tour buses. In fact, as we were leaving our first vineyard, a coach bus was pulling in with 50+ people on board. There is no way those people received the personal attention that we did.
2. Book your tour with Corrado at Tourscany! I promise, you will not be disappointed!
