We stayed at Casolare di Remginoli in March. We were so pleased with our choice. We paid 70 Euro a night per room. We felt like this was a great bargain to be in Tuscany with one of the most picturesque areas we had ever seen.
Lorenzo, the young owner, was very hospitable, offering us a bottle of wine to welcome us- Vernaccia- a local specialty of San Gimignano. The B & B is newly renovated. It is immaculately clean, yet so charming and homey. Lorenzo offered us great suggestions for dining out, and one night, when we decided to make a picnic, he gave us some of his olive oil he had pressed from his olive trees.
The rooms are of a good size, gorgeous views of the rolling Tuscan countryside, and the bathrooms had new fixtures including a towel warmer.
The breakfasts were quite good, with Lorenzo making whatever kind of coffee or cappucino you might want. He also headed to the bakery each morning to get us fresh bread and pastries.
Go to San Gimignano, but stay outside the city at this adorable B & B.
