In a place where time literally has stopped on the clock on the wall and the calender still says february 2010, you'll find peace and calm in Tuscany. On a hillside overlooking winefields and olive trees, Poggio ai Cieli sits.
We had a stay here in july 2012 and are a family of three, where our daughter is two years old, and we had a wonderful time - every day swimming in the pool, eating outside in the evenings and being close enough to i.e. San Gimignano and Volterra (as well as many other cities worthwhile visiting, we just didn't have the time for it).
Remember though, that july is superhot in Italy - and the rooms have no aircon. It was possible to borrow a fan from the common room.
Still, we would recommend it to everybody, who wants a holiday in beautiful and calm surroundings, to visit ai Cieli. The caretaker, Stephano, made the visit even more pleasant with his helpful and kind being.
