“1300 museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2015 NEW

This museum was so much fun. A replica of this walled city from the 1300. After you see the museum they give you a map of the city. I think there were about 28 thing to look for, when you find the thing on the map you take a picture of it. Once you have found all of the idems you return to the museum and they check to see if you found all of them. " scavenger hunt". What was so much fun about the scavenger hunt was it took you to see places that you would not have looked for. Great for kids.

“always a treat!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2015 NEW

San Gimignano is well known for being visited by a lot of tourists - but it's worth it always, such a lovely typical tuscan village! Interesting stores and restaurants, fantastic icecream at the main piazza. You can call it a tourist trap, but it remains always a place where you like to pass by, even when you come more than one time or often. Highly recommended!

“Lovely town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2015 NEW

This is a beautiful town and well organised. I was disappointed to find there were no spaces in the upper car parks as my knees are bad and it was a long walk up from car park 1. However, it was not a problem as there was a park and ride city bus, which went every 30 minutes and you paid for it by stamping your car park ticket and the cost (only €1 per person) was added to the car park fee. The bus went right into the centre of town. Toilets in the town were all very clean.

“A long way to go for gelato”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2015

Yes, there is a place selling the "best" gelato in the world, but to get to it, you have to walk through a gauntlet of tourist shops. I didn't find anything medieval about the place as it was overrun with tourists and cheap shops. Skip it.

“Tourist Trap”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2015

The city is easy to get to and the drive is beautiful. The city itself was very dirty but really old. The people were okay but did not seem like they wanted you to purchase items. I tried to but two necklaces but the woman was dusting; I guess she expected me to wait for her.. Not happening! Parking is horrible and the Water Closets were filthy. I would not recommend this city except the countryside around it is stunning. =
