“Closed until spring”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013 via mobile

Came to see the museum but sadly it is closed until spring. It looked interesting though and the town is beautiful.

“what a beautiful surprise in San Giminiano!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

This little museum is amazing. You will find rest from all the walking and pleasure for your eyes and soul. The city miniature is a gem but I was really surprised by a projection on the wall. This projection tells the history and helps you to understand history better. A fun way to tell history. I loved it. After you leave the miniature room, make sure you will stop by the projection room.
After that you have to go to the magnificent Sculpture Gallery. It put a big smile on my face! What beautiful and smart pieces of art they have.
This museum is a must, you will be glad to pass by and check it out.

“a miniature version of the city - hidden gem. Should be on main street”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

This was simply amazing, and FREE?!! yet it is hidden away from the public on a back street side entrance??? The town should wake up and move this attraction to the main street San Giovanni, and give due credit to this attraction. I would happily have paid 5 euros for a tour of this attraction in a much larger facility or space, with some written information on the history of the town. Excellent attraction!! bravo, and Grazie!

“See the city as it was”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2012

Great, miniature (100:1 scale) recreation of the city as it was during medieval times. There is also a nice gallery with ceramic items that are reasonably priced. One of the artists is named Michelangelo. Really. Very nice guy.
