Agreable place, easy to spot and somewhat not so much overcrowded, the 'bistecca alla fiorentina' was just a perfect piece of 800g for a hungry one, but the rice with asparagus would have sounded ridiculous if it would have had a taste at all - only its price was salty. Disapointing

We were traveling with a group of 18. We had our final dinner at this great restaurant. We had baked chicken with onions in a balsamic glace. It was heavenly. The atmosphere was beautiful too. We had great service for our rather large party too. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone going to San Gimignano.

When we arrived in San Gimignano we had not booked ahead and could not get a room in any of TA's recommended gaffs. We passed Il Pino restaurant and noticed that there were rooms available above. We were shown the room by a friendly member of the team and decided to take it as we would rather explore than room hunt. It was cheap and it was OK. The bedding was clean and the bed firm. The room was a little scruffy and the bed mats had to be moved as they looked like they had never been cleaned. The bathroom housed several fungal experiments all at different stages of development and the shower door had a very contrary mind of its own. That all said, it was very Italian and when in San Gimignano...as they say. By the way we also ate in the restuarant in the evening and whilst it was a little pricey it was excellent.
