I just returned from staying at Le Tre Stelle for 5 days (alone) and joined by my daughter on the weekend. It was one of my favorite places to stay in all my travels to Italy. You are in the beautiful countryside, in easy range to make day trips to many Tuscan hilltowns. But most enjoyable for me, was just staying put at the agriturismo. I am from the city, and to just loll around by the pool, or lay about on the swing reading a book, sipping a glass of the local Vermentino, or taking a walk through the paths in the vineyards, or visiting the animals on the farm, or....I could go on and on. The setting itself, without venturing out, was a true pleasure for me and made for a restful, rejuvenating trip. The host, Donatella, is gracious, warm and good-humored. Her mother, Maria, is a sweetheart who serves up some of the best Tuscan fare each evening at the communal dining table, where guests would sit for hours eating, drinking and chatting about their adventures of the day. I would return in a heart beat!
