We stayed here for 4 days as a base in Tuscany. For that purpose, it was great. San Gimignano gets EXTREMELY busy during the day with loads of tour buses. By venturing out during the day, we then returned to San Gimignano for supper and evening walks in relative peace and quiet after the throngs of people left (even though there was a festival the first night we were there- it seemed like only locals were there). Very enjoyable.
We had a total of three rooms- a double room and two adjoining rooms for a family of four. All rooms were spacious and very clean. All had A/C for the occasion when it was hot. Plenty of space in the rooms, a minibar, and good showers. Very comfortable.
There is a nice area to relax in the back with a very clean pool- as luck would have it, it was chilly when we were there and some rain, so we could not use it, but I would imagine that it would a nice place to unwind and relax after a day of touring.
The breakfast room is large and bright and clean. A nice selection of juices, homemade cakes, croissants, meats such as prosciutto and salami, cheese, fresh bread, and of course their home-made olive oil, which was very good. And we cannot forget the coffee- Cristiano is a master at making whatever you desire, and his artwork with the cappuccinos sets off smiles.
Yes, there is wifi, and for the most part, it worked very well.
This was a great decision to stay here. The level of comfort for the price paid is great. But best of all, as Cristiano mentioned to me as we left, it is family run and they run it on pride. I say a job well done! We shall be back....
