“Lovely modern hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2012

We stayed here for one night on route to Siena for a wedding. The hotel is very convenient for the airport - about 5 mins by car. The hotel reception is bright and airy and the reception staff were welcoming and very helpful, providing us with a map and directions to the Leaning Tower. We had two rooms on the ground floor which were spacious and very clean with nice bathrooms. We didn't have an evening meal, just drinks in the beautiful garden and the waiter brought us loads of snacks to accompany our drinks. The waiter was very friendly. Breakfast was lovely - eaten in the garden in the sunshine. Overall, we have no complaints at all and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will have no hesitation in visiting the hotel again and would recommend it to our friends and family. Thank you.

We stayed here for one night on route from the airport before we drove North. We arrived late and the restaurant was closed. We went into the beautiful garden where there is a bar and served toasted sandwiches with some beer and wine. The waiter was very friendly, chatted to us and made us feel very welcome. Nothing was a bother to him. Our room and breakfast was great, there is free car parking. We were not visiting Pisa therefore I can't comment on how easy it is to get around the City, but I would definitely recommend this hotel.

When I was first looking at hotels in Pisa, I wanted to stay at my airline crew hotel which was NH Cavalieri. I mainly wanted to stay there because it was literally right across the street from the train station. However, the rooms were sold out and this was our second choice. We were pleasantly surprised. We arrived early (as international flights sometimes do) and they were able to accommodate us and check us in. We had a room with 3 beds, and though small, it was still roomy for European standards. There were extra pillows and blankets available in the closet.

The bathroom was very clean, and they had a heating rack for the towels. The restaurant was very delicious (plus our waiter was very nice and very cute!), and though we never took advantage of the free breakfast buffet because we were always on the go, that looked very good as well. You can pay 1.20 euro for a city bus to the train station, or you can take a taxi which is about 10 - 15 euro. It is also about 15 euro to get to the airport. Unlike Rome, we never got scammed by the taxi's giving us the scenic route!

The only cons would be the less info we got at the concierge. We asked for a map of Pisa and was told they didn't have any. Later on, we saw a different member of the concierge team giving a family a map (that we got from a different hotel near the Leaning Tower), and giving them detailed directions. Wish we had that!! We were told there was only one bus line, the blue line, that went to/from the train station. On accident, we got on the wrong bus, a red line, and it brought us right in front of the hotel!! Pure luck. And it runs all night. The blue line ends at 8:30, so if we got in late from whatever city we were visiting, we thought we had to take a taxi. This could've saved us some money as well. We were also never given any information about the breakfast buffet. I had to ask and the woman only told us the time, but didn't tell us it was actually a sit down breakfast. We thought it was just muffins and juice.

Overall it's a great hotel. Learn to navigate the buses! Pisa is a great location for traveling around Tuscany, the trains are affordable no matter where you go. This hotel was comfortable and accessible, which if that's what you need, that's what you'll get here!

This was the perfect place to stay for a late evening flight arrival at Pisa Airport, it is a short distance from the Airport. The design of the hotel and its garden provide a unique and pleasant experience with good food and environment. Free parking in hotel grounds and late serving for dinner were definite plus points for us. We were not planning to stay in Pisa so the hotels proximity to motorways for onward journey south was also a bonus.

We stayed here for one night as a family in two interconnecting rooms at a cost of 125€ (plus 2€ pppn tourist tax) for a visit to Pisa. The hotel is about 10 mins on the bus (Lam Blu or better still the number 13 to S.Biagio which is right outside the hotel) at a cost of 1.10€ pp from Pisa Central train station. Although it is out of the city centre there are two or three restaurants (plus the hotel's own restaurant) to choose from nearby and the prices are better than those closer in. The hotel is very modern and clean and the service at reception and bar/restaurant area was very good. The rooms are comfortable and well designed. The hotel also providesd us with a shuttle bus (free of charge) to the airport Overall an excellent base for a quick visit to the city or a longer stay.

The hotel is located 5 minutes away from Pisa airport. While the hotel is quite a distant away from the city centre, its location is very close to the bus station. The hotel also offers car parking (at a fee) which is valuable in Pisa. The San Ranieri offers modern, clean, quiet and spacious rooms. The buffet breakfast is extensive and good value for money. We will definitely return on our next visit to Pisa

Stayed there for 3 nights in May. Modern style hotel , very clean, great breakfast and helpful staff.
The only draw back is you need a taxi in town , but still worth the stay.
