“ideal location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2013

Pisa is not cheap and this is a reasonably priced hotel within two blocks of the Campo dei Miracoli. We liked the old-world, unhurried atmosphere of Pisa so much that we spent the whole day after checking out exploring further. The hotel was nice enough to hold our luggage. There is only on-street parking but the hotel also gave us a parking card gratis so we didn't have to keep feeding the meter. We also had rooms 106 and 107 mentioned by another reviewer but our experience was completely different. The rooms were clean, quiet, opening onto a lovely garden--no smell, nice breeze. Shower was good. Breakfast was limited but tastey and coffee good. The breakfast room looked out on the charming garden courtyard as well. Staff friendly and helpful. My only small complaints: bed were hard and wi-fi connection only worked in reception area. I would stay there again for the convenient location.

Room Tip: Rooms on the garden--quiet, lovely courtyard.

the hotel is ran by an older couple, very friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean, the bathroom was very clean, the breakfast room was clean and very pleasantly decorated, the food selection was average and seems they have only enough food at had for the guess staying for that day, very limited, centrally located 10 mins walk to the tower, the hotel is a bit on the pricey side. yes, the a/c smells real terrible when you turn it on, I don't know if it is from lack of use, or the condenser need to be cleaned, but it was bad enough that we had to sleep with the windows open.

We were booked at the Hotel Novecento for two nights, or so I thought. We arrived there, and upon checking-in, realized that we had not made a reservation for this hotel, rather for the one in Rome (an error that the very nice woman behind the desk helped me figure out by calling the other hotel). The people in Rome were very rude, and after a very awkward and unsuccessful attempt to cancel the other hotel, I was pretty upset. Yet, they were super accommodating in helping us find a hotel in Pisa (not Rome!) for the evening, and they booked us successfully for the next night. I would highly recommend this hotel, because it's a family business and they really treated us well. I would definitely stay here again if I were to have the chance to come back to Pisa. Because we were just a few minutes walk from the leaning tower and the Duomo, we were able to walk back over there two times. Their Wifi was also strong throughout the whole building, which is a major, major plus.

We spent two nights in this hotel and we had two rooms in the garden (106 and 107). The smell was horrible although we left the two windows wide open day and night. Once back home realised that my lugguge and all my clothes were impregnated with this horrible smell (something like chemical toilets). The staff was not at all pleasant and never asked how things were going and the chambermaid to which we immediately said there was a very strange smell, said it was because the room had just been cleaned and that it would go away. One morning we had a nice receptionist (a young lady). Breakfast was ok and location is nice but don't stay there, except if you have a terrible cold and can't smell anything!

Very nice cute and cosy little hotel owned by a very kind Italian family. The house was a former living house but renovated rooms and interior. only a 5 minute walk away from the famous leaning tower. 15minutes by walk to the central station to leave for other spots in the Toscana.
When Pisa, then this Hotel!!

Room Tip: Ask for a lodge in the cute little Garden!!!

we'd very good experience with the personnel of the hotel, the building and rooms are exactly as you see in the pics. The hotel is run by a family, who are very nice and helpfull. We'd got 2 rooms, the first days at the top floor very nice and clean and the second type of room was at the garden, even bigger and nicer. I'll be back there for sure if I need to go to Pisa again.

Room Tip: rooms upstairs are lovely and good size. But the rooms at the garden are lovely and more spacious

We chose this hotel for its location and the look of the rooms on Booking.com. We, unfortunately, were given Room 107 in the garden. There are three or four of such rooms which look like lean-to sheds. The room certainly looked nothing like the advertised rooms. However that said we spent very little time in the room and it was cleaned every day with clean towels.

The breakfast was okay with a limited supply of fruit juice and coffee. The staff were very pleasant.

Would not recommend the garden rooms.

Room Tip: Do not stay in a garden room as in the hotter months mozzies would definitely be a big problem.
