“One of My Best Stays!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2013

Great stay at Michele's B&B, it's very close to the rail station, and finding it is like looking for a bus in an alley.. Michele is a mathematical genius and he gave us an equation of Pisa that we will never forget.. Our room was perfect, clean, there's a coffee machine at our disposal, the bathroom is spacious with towels anxiously awaiting their guests to pick them up.. Michele has a secret decor in the bathroom which he will generously share with his guests! So heads up! There is an amazing gelato bar nearby which Michele happily recommended, and it was really really good! Thanks for stashing those calories in us Michele! There is also a normal school fit only for the abnormal students in Pisa, sounded strange to us too, so make sure you enquire about it! A wonderful city and a wonderful host!

My parents were flying out from Pisa airport, and Michele's property fit our needs perfectly. Pisa isn't a big city, and you are a few minutes from the beginning of the major shopping section on Corso Italia as well as right by the station. The room was simple but clean, and a double room with attached bath and single room worked perfectly for us. My history nerd parents loved his background on Pisa, and his recommendations for dinner and gelato were right on.

Only stayed for one night but the location by the station was perfect for our needs. The rooms were spotlessly clean and provided everything you would need for a short stay. The breakfast was lovely with a selection of cereals, cold meats and cheeses, bread and pastries, fresh fruit and coffee or tea. Michele offered to cook eggs to our liking as well which was an unexpected. The photo tiles in the bathrooms are so unique and show Michele's passion for Pisa as well as his expertise with a camera! He was a perfect gentleman and although we were only staying for one night gave his time willingly to share his expertise and knowledge with us, not only about Pisa but also our next destination of Lucca. He kindly prebooked a table for us at a lovely restaurant where we had a memorable meal at a very good price.
Having said all this I would not like to mislead others into thinking this is an 'upmarket' place - the location near the station may be an issue for some people as it is not the most attractive area. As Michele explained most honestly, a huge area of Pisa was bombed in WW2 and so not so much of the historic buildings remain as in other towns. However Michele's attention to detail and genuine desire to help his guests get the most out of their stay more than make up for this. I would not hesitate to recommend this B&B as a convenient stopover or indeed as a base for a longer stay due to its proximity to the station and the ease of visiting other towns.

Room Tip: There is a suite with a kithenette and double room with adjoining bunk beds which would be ideal for...

This was the best place we stayed at during our 10 day holiday visiting Italy! Travelling as a couple and 1 adult, we adjoining rooms rather than a double bed and a cot. The single room also sported a balcony. The bathroom was beautifully finished and there was a kettle, tea and coffee even though it's a b & b.

The host, Michele was very helpful and explained all there was to know about Pisa and several other cities we were visiting. He also helped us rent a car and lent us a laptop. There was also a nintendo game boy and a few games in the room.

Breakfast was quite the spread, cereal, cold cuts, bread, jams, yoghurt, fruit etc. Thank you Michele for making us feel comfortable and for being a great host. I would definitely recommend this place heads down.

Room Tip: If you're a family with children, ask for the adjoining room which has a bunkbed

We recently stayed in Pisa for two days, Feb. 18, 19 & 20th. We were traveling with our daughter, (that is studying in Italy) by train and needed a nice place to stay close to the station. With the help of Trip Advisor we found this wonderful B & B! We were greeted by our host Michele promptly, he spoke good english and he gave us wonderful service and was very helpful in taking his time to help us see the best places, and when and even recommended some other places to see we did not know about. The restaurant recommendations he gave us were all excellent! The breakfast was great and the room was beautiful! We stayed in a room for 3 people and it was a very nice room. Thank you Michele for all you help, knowledge and recommendations. We look forward to returning again soon and staying at your wonderful place! Ericka & family

Two things Michele did for me that I really appreciate:
1) Un-requested, he sent me an email: "Since you are arriving at the Pisa at midnight I will come and meet you at the airport." I think it would've been difficult or impossible to find a taxi at that hour.

2) I had dropped a small collection of irreplaceable photographs from my pack. Michele mailed them to me in the States at his own cost.

This type of friendly, personal attention, along with the great location and solid value, will make the Michele Guest House my first stopping point the next time I'm in Tuscany. Which I hope is soon.

We stayed at Michele Guest house earlier this month. Michele is really helpful full of knowledge and always there to help his guests. The perfect host!!!. The place is kept simply spotless, another big plus is the location close to the train station and a few minutes away from the centre of Pisa.
