“Not a Good Place for Family Trip”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW

I stayed at this hotel a night before going to another city in Italy. From my opinion, this hotel is more suitable for those who come to the area for business purposes. Moreover, hotel did not provide a good breakfast experience for customers, there are not so many types of food provided. And sometimes when the food plates are empty, we will never see the foods appear again. Thus, for these reasons, it makes this hotel more suited with the business people and passers-by looking for a place to stay for a night.

I can not understand how this hotel has four stars. The size of our room was ok, but there was a hole and stains from moist in the ceiling. It is placed close to the airport, but in an industrial area with nothing else nearby. Taxi to Pisa was 15 euros.
The reastaurant was awful, we would not have finished our food if we were not as hungry and tired as we were.
The wifi is free, but almost non-existing in the whole hotel, this is my fourth attempt of trying to send in this review!!!!
There are three elevators next to each other, and you need to call for all three of them, instead of just one button for all three.
The hotel is ok for just a bed before an early flight, but this is not a four star hotel! And be sure you are well fed before arrival.

This hotel isn't close to anything, and lies in a industrial zone. How they managed to get 4 stars is beyond me. The only thing they have except rooms, is a bar and resturant. No gym, no pool, no views, no sights, no free transfer to and from airport. The rooms are small. Payed 100€ for one night in a tiny double room. Resturant didn't have an english menu(!). Food was delivered in about 1 minute, wich is not a good sign. Food was bad. Waited for the bill for over 20 minutes. Would not stay again, under any circumstances.

We stayed at this hotel the night before flying from Pisa. The first impression of the hotel was that it is very vast, cold (not welcoming) and contemporary looking. The receptionist could have been more welcoming, and came across as being fairly rude as in not wanting to give us the time of day. Because of the sense of formality and the business-like interior/atmosphere, it is definitely suited to business people (the hotel accommodates several conferences). The food is arguably pretentious, with slightly pricier dishes as well, which would again, be more suited to serious business people as a family would not pay these prices per meal for the whole family. The taxi from the hotel was annoying as it was 14 euros for 4 of us, for an approximately 1 and a half minute drive from the airport (we planned on walking, but because of the ways the Italian road system works, we couldn't). When we went to the gym, there was a sign up saying it was indefinitely closed which was quite disappointing. The room was clean, and it contained a double bed, when we were booking our stay, there wasn't the option for the two twin beds we would have liked. There was also free open WIFI in the rooms. The 'premium' TV is all Italian, with the exception for MTV. In terms of dining, the restaurant is on the bottom floor, and as I said before, it is fairly pretentious in what is served and how it is priced. This restaurant does not cater for coeliacs (senza glutine), but the waiter was kind enough to try and accommodate our party any way. There is also a little bar next door to the main building which serves lots of drinks, cocktails which are anywhere between 6 to 8 euros and coffee, tea, etc. The breakfast buffet was very standard and offered the typical: juice, toast, pastries, coffee, eggs, ham, you know the drill. The shuttle bus to the airport is just as expensive as a taxi (16 euros for 4 of us, gets cheaper the more people travelling in it), but was very easy to arrange, a word with the receptionist was all it took, and we paid the driver when we reached the airport. This hotel is good for overnight/one night stays as it is incredibly convenient being so close to the airport. I personally would find somewhere slightly more homely if I was staying in Pisa for a week or more, and would consider looking closer to the city centre. This would have also saved us some money as I had heard from other travellers there was a fairly cheap supermarket about 10 mins away from this hotel.

The rooms are large and spacious but the location is a good 20 minute walk from the central station out of town - and there is not a sidewalk all the way. Just next to the hotel is a highway exit that you must cross to get to the sidewalk.
It cost about €8 for a taxi from central station to the hotel. The same price applies from the Leaning Tower.
The hotel charges €15 for a shuttle bus to the airport but you will pass by the airport on the way from the central station to the hotel.

The staff helped upon request, but without smiles or great mood. You didn't really want to approach again.
I tried to order a Mojito at the bar but they did not have all the ingredients.

The breakfast is classic whitebread with jam, honney, ham or cheese. There was cereals but only normal milk - no soy/rice/almond options, that I would have expected for a four star hotel. Furthermore there was juice, tea, coffee, eggs and bacon.
I have had better breakfast buffets at hostels...

Room Tip: Uneven numbers faces a highway and an industrial area.

If you are staying in Pisa for one night and want to be close to the airport, this hotel would be ok. Taxi to the hotel was €15 - same as the shuttle. The room is large but the bed is quite hard. Our request for extra pillows (only 2 small pillows supplied) was met with difficulty. The staff seemed to regard clients as a nuisance. They have work to do and we were obviously annoying them by wanting to check in! However, the lady who checked us out was pleasant.
My biggest complaint was breakfast. It had the potential to be quite good. But the bread was stale, toaster was well hidden, the yogurts were covered up by a cloth, hot food was cold. Bacon seemed to be cooked in lumps so that the outside was half cooked and the middle uncooked. Boiled eggs had obviously been boiled for hours as the yolks were grey making the eggs very unappetising. Just seemed sad that good food could be served so badly.
The trip to the main station was another €12 to €15 depending on traffic. From there most places are in walking distance.
