“Cheap but rich stay on outskirts of pisa”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago NEW

From the airport,it is a short ride to the hotel around 15 euro.If we need to go to Pisa centre ,then Change two buses to the tower. And buses were not frequent during Easter, from the hotel. So we took a taxi to the tower and paid another 15 euro.

location is just outskirts away from Pisa experience.Better stay in pisa centre.
If you want a cheap but a rich stay then choose this hotel.

The receptionist was friendly and gave us a map and gave directions. The room was spacious and clean. The buffet breakfast In the morning was continental and the food was good with nice croissants and egg and sausage n juice.

Our trip began in Bologna Airport from where we took our car. It was not so late, so we visited first the leaning tower. About 19:00 we checked at the hotel. It seems Francesco was the only one from the staff in the hotel. He tried his best but It took more than half hour to take the key for the room. It looks that the hotel is not well maintained - there were several stains on the wall of the reception however the room was clean and the bed comfortable.

Room Tip: free wifi in lobby

Stayed here for 3 nights whilst in Pisa.
Found it to be the most unhelpful hotel I've ever stayed in. As a Marriott silver card holder, I am totally surprised that Marriott put their name to this place!
Booked & paid for 3 nights. Left on day 2 to spend a night in Florence. Left some cosmetics & other things I wouldn't require with me. Upon my return today, the cosmetics have gone from bathroom & when reported to reception, no one knows anything about them & housekeeping say I left nothing!
I am not quick to call anyone a thief, but sadly there is one working on this staff. Only a few cosmetics, but it's the principle involved here.

Lauro saved the day on the staff. He was the most friendly & approachable.

Air conditioning didn't work in room & needed to leave window open at night.
Then bitten by Mosquitos.

Not a great trip. Should have stayed in Florence.

A comfortable and modern hotel, but staff not bothered about service. Waited 20 minutes just to get a menu in the restaurant, no word of apology at all. There were four other tables that received similarly shoddy service. Also, 9 euros for room internet should be a high speed connection but it was dial-up standard. Ended up using my iPhone to tether 4g. Not a standard I would expect from the Marriott brand.

We liked the room very much and the cleaning staff were very good as our bed was changed everyday. We needed another pillow and were given one straightaway. A part of the shower came off and someone repaired it after we reported it broken within a day. Breakfast is okay but don`t expect much as it is only continental breakfast. You do not get coffee or tea facitlies in the room and the staff on reception are not friendly or welcoming and we were told to go to an internet cafe to do our online check in for our flight home. We were surprised at how the staff were as my husband is Italian and he had never had a situation where the staff had not been sociable. It has the Marriott name but not Marriott standard. Prices are sky high so do not think to eat at the restaurant as it is only open in the evenings and prices are stupid. There is no bar as such either. if you are a businessman this place is fine .

Room Tip: we stayed in room 226. you could hear next door and doors swinging and shutting and people upstairs...

Great value. Get comfy Marriott bed and bath just in a smaller room and more plain motel setting. Terrific buffet breakfast I included. Supposed to have coin op laundry but was not on site. Front desk clerk was reluctant to give directions to laundromat. Wanted us to use send out laundry service. Gave poor directions to laundromat. Luckily tub was large and hair dryer worked great. We did to full loads in our room. Short bus ride to historical area, tower and train station. Overall a good place to stay.

Good accommodation but very much catering for business people rather than tourists. We stayed 2 nights and were extremely happy with the service and food.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Quite a long walk into the centre of Pisa so may need a taxi.
