“Modern and comfortable hotel, not in centre of Pisa.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013

We stayed 1 night and used this hotel as our last stopover before our flight back to Belgium. A modern standard room for 2, including breakfast for 85 euro is quite reasonable (weekend-rate and 2 euro/pp/night city tax not included)

The hotel is perfect, modern and well maintained, situated 4km from downtown Pisa and 4 km from airport. To avoid taxi-rip-offs take public bus : from AC hotel walk 100m to busstop and take “LAM Blu bus” to central train station (each 10 minutes) and switch to “LAM rossa bus” to airport or Downtown Pisa for only 1,5 euro/pp (or 0,9 euro/pp if you buy carreta di 4 biglietta in tabaco shops at airport or train station). But all busservice stops after +-8h30PM !!

The rooms are medium size (24m²), comfortable, clean, wooden floor. Quiet at night. Good (Marriott) beds, good and silent airco, flatscreen, fridge, no coffee nor tea provided. Clean bathroom, all amenities. Wifi at ridiculous rate (22 euro/day), but for some reason I got a free connection (from an unprotected neighbour ?)
Breakfast buffet was good without being excellent.
Conclusion : quality for your money, recommendable. But keep in mind : 4km from the city center.

We stayed one night at the AC Hotel Pisa by Marriott before catching our flight home next day. We thought a night in a 'Queen size' room, near the airport, with a good evening meal and breakfast would make a pleasant end to our holiday in Italy.
The hotel was not 'close to the airport'. It was a 15-minute taxi journey (high-speed Italian style).
As we wanted coffee after our journey, we asked where to go and were told we would have to hurry as the dining area, which also provided coffees, would be closing in 15 minutes and would not reopen for another 3 hours. The bar would not be opening until 7.15, over four hours.
We went up to our room, which was similar to an English Premier Inn, with minimal MDF-type furniture. It overlooked a carpark and the Queen-size bed was two singles pushed together.
In the evening, we decided to eat in the hotel. There was absolutely no atmosphere in the dining room and very few other diners. The meal was almost 100 euros. The endive leaves in my salad had curling brown edges - I would have thrown them in the bin at home. Both our main courses were unmemorable and the wine was disappointing. The waiter was very attentive but seemed to think the food was marvellous. Next morning, several other guests told us they had stayed there before and would always eat out as the food was so overpriced and poor quality. The breakfast was meagre, by any standards. Compared to other, more modest hotels we have stayed in, it was scandalous.
Our room was really cold during the night and the air conditioning system unresponsive. My husband turned over in bed and fell down the gap between the twins so they were not even hooked together.
I would not recommend the Pisa Marriott to anyone. I think it probably suits single business travellers who want wifi and are not bothered about the food or the sleeping arrangements. Arrive after 6pm if you want a coffee!

This is one of my favorite hotel. I am staying here third time in last month or so. The service is good, decent breakfast, nice restaurants around the hotel. It is about 4KM to Center of Pisa and takes about 45 minutes walk which I did today.

The only problem is everyday they need to rekey your room key which is annoying.

I would highly recommend to anyone. Easy to reach from airport, small mall and grocery near by. Nice breakfast and less expensive nice restaurants within walking distance if you don't choose to eat dinner at the hotel. Front desk service was helpful and cordial with any questions. Large WiFi area and easy to connect

Easily found with Sat Nav being just of the FL-LI-PI autostrada... but it is also signed from main road.10 minutes from airport and we walked into the centre of Pisa in under an hour ..it is on a bus route straight to centre of town.Staff were helpful and room and especially bathroom was very smart.Good for overnight stay at beginning or end of a holiday as route to airport easy and has free parking and a petrol station nearby to fill up the hire car.Breakfast adequate and good coffee. It is a business hotel primarily so was functional ...no pool.

We are a couple and have stayed at AC Hotel Pisa for one night on August 2013. I will split the review in topics.

LOCATION: This is the downside of the hotel. It is far from the city center, so you have to either take public transport or go by car. We went by bus and had a hard time to come back, as the bus line had stopped working after 20:30. In the end we asked some local people for directions and we could reach the hotel, but if you do not speak any Italian this could mean trouble.

FACILITIES: The room was clean and comfortable. We did not see any facilities in the hotel as gym or such.

PARKING: There is a public free parking right in front of the hotel. You can also use the hotel's parking for an additional 8 EUR a night. We have used the public parking and had no problems.

BREAKFAST: Breakfast was good and enough. Fruits, Italian salami and plenty of bread did the trick.

STAFF: Very helpful. The only feedback we have is that the staff should have told us how to get back to the hotel by public transport, as we had a hard time with this.

CONCLUSION: Nice hotel but far from the action of the city.

We had a nice stay at the AC Hotel. It was tricky to get to the hotel due to one way streets and numerous turn-abouts. We knew this in advance and still had trouble getting to the hotel even though we could see it from the main road. It actually may have been the GPS that was the problem. So look for the signs and follow your common sense. The room was very nice. Maybe a touch small for two adults. Not much room around the bed and had a big wardrobe and desk for laying stuff out. But a little too cozy. We did get a great price on the stay so we were not unhappy. Everything was clean and new-ish. The design is very modern which was good for us because we knew it would be a trip full of "rustic" hotels to come in Tuscany. The staff was very nice and the breakfast in the morning was very very good. It was a great start to a fun day of sight-seeing. We are glad that we got to see Pisa but it really is only a 1/4 day of sights.

Room Tip: Ask for an upgrade. We did not. The hotel did not seem full and bet there were larger rooms than our...
