“Well placed for travelling connections”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2014

We stayed here for six nights as we were visiting a number of towns in Tuscany.
The staff, all but one, were friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was a buffet with selection of cereals, breads, jams , cakes and yogurts. Fruit juice and tea and coffee were also available as was fresh fruit (oranges and apples).
The room was adequate but dark and lacked a view and the air conditiong could not be controlled.
There was a small lounge with a television and computer with internet connection.
Very clean hotel with a daily change of bathroom towels and alternate days for bed linen.

Booked this hotel because of its location, close to station!! School boy error!! First impressions were not good, side street, building work next door, but entering lobby it
Was the smell!! ..awful! Our room is small dark & very noisy as just outside the window is all the air. Conditioning units! Adjacent rooms were occupied by quite noisy people too!
No way to control temp in room, noisy fridge, no view at all.. Look out windows onto wall of next door building bout 2 metres away! No air!
Asked for some ice... Not possible!
Dreading breakfast!!
Would not recommend staying here!

Room Tip: Tip... Stay elsewhere!

We recently visited Cinque Terre in Italy and decided to spend one night in Pisa on our way back. We choose this hotel as is was close to the train station as we were coming into Pisa by train and leaving the next day from the station. I appreciate that we (group of 10) were only staying one night but we were guests and were paying for our stay. We were made to feel like we we an "inconvenience" to them for the duration of our stay and the breakfast was a disgrace. We had just spent 6 wonderful night in hotel Nazionale in levento where we were treated like welcome guests, which made the lack of anything like a welcome in the Terminus Plaza more obvious.

This hotel is very close to the Pisa Centrale train station but that's about all it has going for it. The staff were very miserable and the free Wi-Fi is only for one device per room. The breakfast was all packaged items and there was a notice on every table telling guests that the breakfast had to be eaten in the dining room and was not to be taken away.

The hotel is located near the central station which is very good. The place is quite and the rooms are clean and warm. The only bad thing about this hotel was the breakfast. Everything was pre-packed, nothing fresh, no ham, no cheese. Complete disappointment.

This hotel enjoys a useful position, near the station and on the right side to drive quickly to the airport. Its staff were helpful with street parking on arrival (there is no hotel car park) and at breakfast. However, the room was more expensive than a much better hotel in Arezzo. The plus side is curiously that because it does not have a restaurant we went across the road for a good and reasonably priced evening meal. If you want a clean boring hotel and are prepared to pay for its position, this will do.

This hotel has several plus points - very clean, plentiful breakfast with friendly waitresses and a safe, quiet situation in spite of being a couple of minutes from the station.

However, the minus points mean I could not recommend it to anyone. The reception staff (male) were both abrupt to the point of rudeness. It was too much trouble to indicate places of interest on the map, one of them actually sighed when we did not understand how to get an Internet connection and we felt as if guests were just too much bother for them to deal with! Another guest has commented on the arrival procedures and I would agree with him. New arrivals are told brusquely to sit, then ignored, then called to the desk, then told to wait. It reminded me of Fawlty Towers!

Finally, I left my iPad on the dressing table in our room and realised after we had left. I phoned the hotel immediately and the receptionist was incredibly rude, raising his voice and assuring me that the room was empty of all belongings. He refused to talk to the chambermaid and was unwilling to help in any way. I was left with no alternative but to report the loss to the local police.
