“Comforable hotel in central location.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2012

This was a return visit and the hotel has had a good quality upgrade.
2 minutes walk from Central railway station and only 20 minutes walk on a direct route (easy to find) from Pisa Airport.
The hotel is 5 minutes from the main bridge over the River Arno and a further 15 minutes walk from the Cathdral and Leaning Tower.
Rooms are of a very good standard and the Buffet breakfast is varied and substantial. May be a bit far for walking to the main sites, however there are frequent and cheap buses from outside the railway station

We stayed here for one night. Very close to Train station and easily access to Airport only 5 minutes with bus which cost 1,20 euro. Its a little far to get to Pisa tower but manageable(20-25 minutes walk). The hotel was clean but the receptionists were rude. But I guess for one night its ok..

Great space, clean, close to the train station, very nice hotel reception and common areas.

You should notice that being close to the train station means being a little far from the leaning Tower and other sights, but at least -in my personal opinion-, for one night stay it's better to be close to the train station, so you don't have to walk too long with your luggage. The shower door is quite small: if you or someone in your party is very fat, I don't know if they'll fit through the door :S. Other than that, it's perfect!

Very handy to train station (3 or 4 minutes walk) with regular trains direct to Pisa Airport. Area not so nice but hotel quiet and reasonable. Varied breakfast included.

stayed here in 2007 on a budget trip (not shoestring ;)).. very conveniently located close to the train station... haha booked the hotel at a cyber cafe , coz it was reasonably priced, and coincidently it ended up being the building next to the cafe. :). clean carpeted rooms.cant recall the floor but it was a decent size.walked to the leaning tower frm there. staff was friendly too. & one of the better buffet breakfast we had was served at this hotel :).. would recommend it.

Most of the reception staff were very welcoming and lovely, they would happily communicate in English although we used Italian as much as we could! We had room 112 on the first floor. I must say that it is definately a bit of a noisy room as the lift travels quite close by and the walls/doors and especially the windows do not do much to barricade the sound. The TV channels were plentysome but poor for us foreign travellers, they had lots of Italian only channels (fair enough, we are in Italy!)a music channel which happened to play a reasonable amount of english music and MTV which was sometimes in English and subtitled in Italian. In previous stays in Italy we have had a Sky News or BBC news channel in English so I guess we were a bit spoilt. If you stay here, please keep the windows shut, we welcomed in mosquito beasts and I was their dinner!

The breakfast was quite poor with only really pre-packaged cakes/crackers and spreads but there were fresh rolls most mornings.

I agree with previous reviewers that the bar is never opened or manned. Although the computer use is cheap, it is really blimming slow and frequently disconnected itself.

There was a lovely restaurant just up the road called "Trattoria da Michele" which was lush and I would certainly recommend a visit.

The location is great for the train station and within a nice walking distance of the river.

I would recommend staying here if you are going to be travelling away from Pisa most days or are only staying for a short period purely due to noise levels.

Room Tip: Try and get a room away from the lift!

Visited this hotel as part of a three day tour of Pisa, Hotel very well situated excellent for train journeys and buses to other parts and attractions. plenty of nearby restaurants special praise for the chinese on the main road excellent food and value great service. On arrival allocated room 105 a lift up one floor. Small but working lift, didnt ever see bar open or staffed. Arrived in main corridor, spotlessy clean and well loooked after. Room was dated decor wise, but never the less clean and well cared for. Fridge containing mini bar we didnt use but nice if wanted to make use of this facility. Beware though fridge very noisy we unplugged every evening . Beds comfy and clean white crisp linen, with spare pillows and blankets if needed, shame no tea and coffee making faciities ( be guided take a travel kettle so you can do your own as coffee is as expensive as beer or wine. Not a cheap place to visit when the euro exchange rate is so poor. Towels are replaced daily and are white and freshly laundered. But are not like white tufted fluffy towels, they are like a thin linen, so dont dry a lot. Pisa itself is well worth a visit , with florence an hours journey away on the train and 9 euros return fare cheap too , for exploring two beautiful places.
Overall the hotel is good for location, cleanliness and cost. However, the only down side is the breakfast, not at all good. All food is packeted, biscuits sandwiches cakes, fruit puree, tin peaches very little selection in cereals. no fresh cheese, or ham, no cooked choices not even a boiled egg. or toast machine. . The only thing that was fresh was apples a bread roll and croisants. Evertything else is left out all day every day as its in packets or cartons. Have to say worst breakfast i have experienced, Normally you would find fresh fruit, bread, cakes jams marmalades, eggs, tomatoes. It really needs improving as it really lets the hotel down which is so sad as the room, cleanliness and location is so promising for a stay in Pisa. Hotel is also very good at storing your luggage in reception area unti your flight home at no charge. Airport 5 mins journey away on train or bus at 1 euro 10 cents. No english channels on TV apart from MTV.
