Booked our stay at Accademia in March 2011 as part of our hometrip from sightseeing in Pisa Town. We were to stay at B&B 1 night from the July the 16'th to the 17'th. Caught up in marvel at the Campo Dei Miracoli we called the receptionist several times in the late afternoon on the 16'th to assure our room wasn't let out. The receptionist assured us every time that the room was ours and we could check in as late as 9:30pm - everything would be fine. Unfortunately not true. When we arrived at 9pm same evening our room was was booked out to another family and we stood there with 2 children, forced to accept 2 doublerooms - instead of the, in March booked, familyroom.
Later we went downstairs to buy a meal to bring up to our room and was served by a polite young man. This didn't seem to be o.k. with the maitre d and the 2 were having a kind of argument - or so it looked like. This delayed the meal and finally after 45-50 mins. my 9 yr old son could get tagliatelle with pesto - a 10 min. dish.
On top of this 6 very noisy young american tourists sat in the hotel lobby, drinking beer and discussing very loud. Other guests were looking and walked quickly by them. Noone - not even the adult american (their teacher?) said anything to quiet the company.
I am sorry but I will never recommend this Hotel to anyone.
