Stayed here for 6 nights during Sept 2012. Arrived at reception - not overly friendly but spoke good English-no info given about breakfast, WIFI or safe keys, so had to contact reception again after. Safe is free to use, just ask for a key to use it in your room. WIFI free and breakfast served from 7am weekdays and 7.30am weekends. First impression of the hotel was that it needed maintenance and did not appear to be a 4 star, even when it was brand new. Room was very clean on arrival, bathroom only a shower and no bath in rooms. No iron provided or tea & coffee making facilities, just hair drier on bathroom wall. Double beds two beds pushed together and duvet very thin-pillows very uncomfy, my advice would be to bring your own! Air con great, worked the whole holiday. One thing I would say is that other reviews had said that it didn't work, this might not have been true as on weekdays the air con is on a timer and does go off-must be controlled by the hotel, so you have to take your room card out of the room slot by the door, wait a minute or so and then put it back in and it comes back on again - don't ask me why. The whole hotel is very much eco friendly so must be part of that. Breakfast-quite disappointing. Can't believe other reviews said it was lovely. They must have gone down at the crack of dawn to get it on a good day! Coffee was cold and awful tasting. Staff were quite unfriendly and not very helpful. Many a time our table was either lacking cups or cutlery, so we then had to wait for one of the ladies to appear was talking in the kitchen to get us what we were missing. 5 cereals are served, around 3 different croissants, 'hot' bacon & eggs (these were very much luke warm), various jams and biscuits, white bread for toast, various teas, hot milk, cold meats and small white bread rolls. No fresh orange is provided or any fresh juices apart from orange squash and mineral water, which we found disappointing, especially as it's so widely available in Italy. Each morning one of the above wasn't available because it wasn't replenished - the staff are very lazy! Your room is cleaned everyday, but only the bed is made-nothing else, sometimes the towels were changed, and we always got 4 more bottles of water in the fridge, which are free while staying at the hotel. No other items in the mini-bar are provided, not even items which cost extra, so luckily there is a corner shop across the road. There are also 2 supermarkets which are a 5 minute drive from the hotel. We didn't try the hotel's restaurant for dinner, but this was mainly because we thought it might be like the service at breakfast, so we were put off a bit. The menu looked reasonably priced though, around 10euros for a main course. There is a small bar in the hotel, which has mainly spirits and a few bottles of wine. The hotel has underground free car parking and other car parking around the back and to the side of it. We could always find a space during our stay which was good. The shuttle bus was nearly always in the underground parking, so I don't think it runs regularly as other reviews have said. We always had a good nights sleep in the hotel, as the blackout curtains are great and windows double glazed, which surprised us as the hotel is directly underneath the flight path for the airport. However the walls are paper-thin and you can hear next door brushing their teeth, so I guess we were just lucky not to be waken in the night by noisy guests. Other reception staff we came across weren't as friendly as on our arrival, especially the manager that has shoulder length hair and appears very arrogant. Overall our impression of this 4 star hotel was just ok, nothing more nothing less. I think they really do need to pick up their game, so I wouldn't expect anything more than what you pay for your stay. We roughly paid £60 a night inc breakfast and we've had better for that price in hotels in the UK. In case you don't know, this hotel and a few others in the area charge 2euros per person per night, which is an additional tax, payable on checking out.
