We stayed as part of a group travelling to Assisi - very peaceful place with all the basic amenities we needed. Rooms and facilities were basic but clean and maintained the atmosphere of an on monastery. Evening meal caterers did not arrive due to RTA but receptionist was able to book us in at a local restaurant which produced a very adequate meal with excellent wine, just 10 minutes walk away.

Stayed for 3 nights with my girlfriend in this quaint hotel just outside the city center of Pisa after reading several positive reviews and i wasn't disappointed. the bedrooms are rather small but are clean and well-maintained. the receptionists are very helpful and cordial, the bfast includes 2 types of cheeses, 2 hams and salami, a selection of freshly baked bread and croissants, yogurt, cereals and fresh fruit. overall a very positive experience and highly recommended.

I read very good reviews of this hotel so booked it with confidence but even though my expectations were not huge, it was a disappointment. The idea of spending a few nights in an old monastery seemed pleasing but the reality was rather crude. The grounds have lots of potential but the glory days are behind them. Buildings need renovation and better management.

The room was very basic, the bathroom was clean but there was a weird smell in the room, which did not want to go away. It just did not feel like a monastery converted to a hotel but like a monastery not used for a long time and then one day somebody decided to put beds in rooms and rent them. After spending a few days in Pisa we moved to Florence and we got an absolutely beautiful place for the same price.

When I saw a breakfast room, I was actually convinced that I am in a hostel not a hotel. It was again very basic, there were tables on the porch but they were attacked by pigeons, so after having breakfast outside at first, we moved inside for the following couple of days. There was not much choice, some croissants, bread rolls, cheese, and meat without a single vegetable or fruit. The same thing every each day.

If you want a basic accommodation for one night, you can risk it, but if want to stay a bit longer and enjoy your holiday and your room, don’t bother. And bring some mosquito spray or you will be eaten alive!!!

Stayed for 3 nights after reading about monastery stays. This hotel has not been a monastery for a long time. The afternoon/evening receptionist (stars tatooed around her neck) was impersonal and unhelpful during our stay. For example she told us 'no wi-fi' when there is wi-fi??. We mentioned this in our feedback form and were chased down the street by the front desk manager apologising for her beaviour. The breakfast was good...but the room was 'musty' and floor needed washing . It was a 'budget' decision by us to stay....but got far better value elsewhere for same price. Would stay elsewhere if returning to Pisa.
