Hotel is situated about 100 metres from the railway station and the entrance approach looks intimidating. It is kind of located in a covered terrace between two streets with several convenience stores within the terrace therefore a lot of people hanging around. That was the only fault with the hotel- everything else was okay. Once you entered the hotel it was like entering a different world from the street with its modern environment and multitude of oil paintings adorning the walls throughout the hotel.
The room was of a good sizeas was the bathroom which contained a bath as well as a shower. The decor in the bathroom was a little dated but was clean.
The staff were exremely friendly from the reception right through to the Barman called Guisseppi.

On departure we had a self service continental breakfast at 0430 and a taxi to the Airport was ordered from reception and arrived at the hotel within one minute. By Taxi the hotel is five minutes from the Airport. Would certainly recommend this hotel especially as it only cost 21 euro pppn.

We stayed three nights in Hotel La Pace, very conveniently located near Pisa Railway Station. It is 15 minutes walk over the River Arno to the Campo de Miracoles where the Baptistry, Duomo and Leaning Tower are located, most of the walk being on pedestrianised roads. The access to the hotel is off a dark passageway and the hotel itself looks as if it could do with a face lift.

The room was adequate as was the ensuite bathroom. The wifi was sort of OK but the signal inconsistant. Breakfasts were continental (as you would expect) with hot scrambled egg and sausage if you wanted. Lots of juices, cereal, bread etc.

The bar was seldom occupied and a bit bleak and turned into the breakfast area. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The safe is located in the back office!

This is an older hotel and the area is a little noisy. Also paper thin walls. But the staff are friendly and helpful and speak good English. There's a decent breakfast buffet in the morning. You could do worse. It's also super close to the train station so very convenient when traveling by train. It's easy to walk to restaurants, shopping and most of the major sites of Pisa including the leaning tower (about a 15 minute walk).

I had a single, very small room, BUT it was clean and was good value for money. Just don't expect luxuries. No tea making facilities and no fridge, but the basics were fine. saying that I had a good tv.
The floors are mainly marble and the ceilings high, so you could hear a lot of movement from above and in the corridors. Breakfast was ok but nothing amazing, it was being packed away within seconds of the clock striking 10.
