Hotel Bologna did the trick for our one night stay in Pisa. We booked our room on the hotel website so that the shuttle was free. The shuttle arrived quickly and we arrived to hotel without a hassle. Leaving the next morning, we realized there were too many people going to the airport that could fit in the shuttle, so we opted for a taxi. The only bad thing about this hotel it that it is on a bus route and there is street noise, but being on this main road made it easy to get a cab.
Room pros: New bathrooms, soft towels, hotel slippers, hot water/tea pot, mini frig that is quiet, modern digital safe, bed & pillows comfortable.
Location is in a safe central neighborhood and we walked a couple of miles round trip between the hotel and the historical sites. They also provided courtesy umbrellas. We enjoyed our stay - thanks!
