This is such a neat historical hotel. I felt like I was in a different era which is what makes visiting a city like Pisa such a memorable experience. We were only here one night but it was a decent hotel at a decent price in a good location. The only problem, do not attempt to drive or park a car in Pisa. Their garage is quite impossible to navigate. Other than that, stay here for an interesting experience.

Florence, it's David, Palaces and art had always been a place I'd dreamed of visiting and to do so we flew into Pisa and stayed one night before taking the train to Florence the next afternoon. From the reviews in Tripadvisor I chose the Victoria and completely loved the place. As 30 something Interior andGraphic designers we look for hip hotels, uber moderne, but the stlye that ozed from this hotel captivated us. Glamour, style and reserve cool, calm and collected, balcony overlooking the Arno a step back in time and a totallly individual hotel

We stayed here for one night (March 2004) and found it and the staff very charming. The room was unique, not to mention huge! We had an entry the led one way to a very large bathroom with vaulted ceilings and the other way to our bedroom. The room was nicly furnished with "antiques" (real or not they were nice), two comfortable twin beds with a fireplace at the foot of them and a small table and chairs at the far end to accomodate in-room dining. We also had a huge window that opened to a spectacular view of the Arno. In the morning, we had a great breakfast and walked the 15 minutes down to the Leaning Tower. No complaints here!

I'm sorry my fellow traveller from San Fran has missed the point. Boy has he missed the point. The hotel is tremendous as it delivers what it purports to be, i.e. a historical hotel with all the period features.
Does the gentleman realise how difficult this is to achieve and maintain. The staff where simply delightful. For instance, they corrected my Italian with no hint of arrogance or patronism. My advice would be to have a room at the back of the hotel as the clock tower facing the frontage is quite noisy, on every hour, and is not baffled by the windows. I could not recommend this hotel highly enough as it is not made of stucco and painted white !! Enjoy.
