It is so close to the railway station, you can walk there in 10 minutes. The lean on the tower is more amazing in real life. It is awe inspiring.
While the Tower draws the crowd, the other buildings here are magnificent in their own right. The field itself is beautifully maintained and is a wonderful place to stand and gaze at the sights.
It was a rainy day and we had the Piazza almost to ourselves. We walked to the top of the tower and took pictures of the water shooting out the spouts on the Duomo.
this is one of the best sights in the world.It is also very unusual for Italian cathedral complexes by having grass around it. I've been here several times but I still enjoy returning.
Wonderful atmosphere and monuments not too bust or expensive! Great ice cream and restaurants nearby. Some tat on sale by dodgy vendors!
