We spent a wonderful three nights at IL Mattino. Monica is a delightful host and couldn't have been more helpful. The B&B is about a 10 minute walk from Pisa centre - along the River Arno. The room was very clean, beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. Breakfast included a varied selection of Monica's delicious home made pies. IL Mattino is a well presented and thoughtfully designed B&B. Unfortunately, it was the season for mosquitoes whilst we were there, and so we couldn't make use of Monica's lovely garden in the evening. I would definitely recommend this B&B.

A very homely and carefully looked after family hotel set in the quiet Pisa suburbs. It is not in the centre but within walking distance of it.

( If you rent a car be very careful where you go in the centre as there is a limited traffic zone with traffic cameras and heavy fines if you're not authorized. It's too easy to fall foul of this system and signage could be more prominent considering the hefty penalty.)

From the hotel it's a gentle 25 minute walk to the leaning tower.
A large, clean and tastefully decorated old townhouse, comfortable though not huge en-suite bedroom with high ceilings and a kettle.
Breakfast was continental; tasty and home-baked with good coffee. They dont offer evening meals but their restaurant recommendations won't let you down either. Thoroughly pleasant place to return to after a hard days sightseeing.

We had a car rental and the parking was just a block or so away, and it was Free.

Would definitely come back if we ever come to Pisa again.
Owner was very accommodating and sweet.

We truly felt at home in this B&B. The service was superb, Monica (who runs the place) was super nice and helpful in every way. The place was inmaculately clean and very nicely decorated. As for the breakfast, it was varied and had a choice of home made pies. If I ever go back to Pisa, I am definitely coming back to this place!
