“Excellent Honeymoon Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2011

My husband and I recently spent 5 nights at this hotel as part of our honeymoon and thorougly enjoyed our stay.

Upon arrival, we found that our room had been covered in flower petals and that our room had been upgraded to a larger one with a huge balcony and fantastic views of the Leaning Tower. We left the room to check out the pool and on our return a bottle of champagne had been sent to our room. A lovely touch- thank you!

The room itself was large and very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious, the only criticism being that the shower head cannot be attached to the wall.

The rest of the hotel was great- front desk staff were very polite. The breakfast had a wide range of food available to suit different tasts. The pool was welcome respite from the heat, although even in 38C heat the water was still freezing.

My only criticism of the hotel is its location. While it is a short enough walk into Pisa, the walk takes you through a very long underpass, which isn't particularly nice walking through at night. As a suggestion, perhaps the management of the hotel could consider offering a free shuttle bus service into the centre of Pisa and back.

Overall, a fantastic stay that made our honeymoon!

We are very happy to know that she has loved the location and structure but we are even happier to know that our service has met their expectations. We seek to continuously improve the quality of living of our customers and do not conceive the luxury end but merely as a means to comfort, relaxation and attention that our guests are looking for. Then I tried to give the newlyweds a memorable honeymoon is a source of pride for us. While waiting to meet again personally

We loved the hotel, we had an apartment for the four of us. Pool is excellent, particularly with 38 deg C heat. The blinds in the lounge could be a bit darker as the morning sun was bright enough to even wake our teenage son! The apartment was excellent, clean, modern and very spacious with a great view of the leany thing, although the patio type door was a challenge and the wi-fi refused to work. Be warned however: there was no price list with the mini bar, our daughter helped herself to a tiny bottle of San Pelegrino - we were charged €5!

The restaurant was run as a separate business to the hotel (had to pay independently too) so any criticism below is aimed at them, not the hotel, we do think however, that the hotel really need to think about what is provided and the effects that this could have on the hotel's reputation. We dined in the restaurant as there are no nearby options that we could find. €6 for a small local beer and similar for a tiny glass of white wine (that's all that was left in the bottle), set the tone. Quite simply it is way too expensive for the average quality food they are providing, however we assumed that the quality and quantity would match the prices they were charging. This was not the case. We ordered a 'special' mediterranean seafood salad to start for which they charged €16. This consisted of a bowl of dry lettuce with 3 prawns and a couple of rings of calamari chopped up. We were provided with a bowl of pretty looking bread rolls. These had obviously been left out in the heat, my husband wanted to feed them to the birds the next morning as they were not really for human consumption. The two main courses were small but pleasant although ridiculously overpriced, we cut our losses and passed on deserts (€10 each). We had eaten considerably better for much less virtually every night for our two week holiday.

Overall, great hotel and we'd certainly return we'll just make sure we eat (and drink) somewhere else next time.

this hotel serves as an ideal starting point to visit tuscany. It is very close to Pisa airport, and offers great value for money.

A 4 star classification would probably suit the hotel better.

Walking distance to the pisa tower (10 min. +through a tunnel). had a nice dinner in the hotel restaurant

We enjoyed our 7 day stay

The hotel isn't totally finished. We reserved an appartment for our family (2a, 3c). It was clean, the service was good. The breakfast was a buffet but could be better. The bar at the swimming pool was not always staffed. The pool is great, with a child-part in it.
The center is just 3-4km away.
For a visit to Pisa with kids a good place to stay.

Room Tip: ask for an appartment

Dear Guest, Thanks from all of our employees for the kind words that we reserve for taking his time to talk about the Tower Plaza. The hotel is in fact complete, quality service, cleanliness, courtesy, and a food that is characterized by quality, preparation, service and value for the price in a unique way, are the arrows to our bow. We consider our buffet for breakfast and the undoubted quality of our truly excellent bar service, we regret not having been able to appreciate all this. We wait and we greet you with affection from Pisa

We stayed here for a week.
It was a pleasant stay because of the quality of the rooms, the breakfast and the staff.
One minor thing is that there is music at the pool until after midnight.
This is very irritating if you want to go to sleep, so we have 4! times at 4 different days called to the reception to switch it off.
For the rest no real complaints, but overall it is not a real 5 star hotel.

We seek to continuously improve the quality of living of our customers and do not conceive the luxury end but merely as a means to comfort, relaxation and attention that our guests are looking for. With regard to the soft music in this pool this stems from a specific request by the vast majority of customers. We set a watch that does music cease at 00.00 pm, since the evening of relaxation in this climate there are many guests who dine by the pool or sipping delicious drinks and gladly listen to music. Take note of this clarification in order that its other customers may experience the same problem and we will try to lower the volume even more trying to satisfy the needs of all people. Quiet is what makes us his own experience, that when he expressed his discontent with the reception immediately intervened to resolve the problem. While waiting to meet again personally Yours faithfully

This hotel was a booked rather quickly because of change of plans just before I arrived in Italy.
The first night we stayed there, The staff was amazing, helped us out with any questions I had. The waiter by the poolside was wonderful to my children, treating my daughter like a princess, and in fact calling her princess the whole time we were around. The pool was fantastic after walking to see the sights of Pisa.
The things I did not like is when I opened the patio door, I was not sure how it worked. It was confusing, and the Free Wifi did not like to work well in the apartments.
It was nice to see that there were English channels for us non speaking Italian people.

Thank you for the wonderful stay!

We are very happy to learn that he spent a pleasant stay at the Plaza Tower. We appreciate the fact that he liked the simplicity and authenticity of our hotel, but especially ,noticed the courtesy and professionalism of our staff courteous attention to this for us is fundamental to the pursuit of ostentation but not through through being constantly ;happily unhappy"! The wait again, with his princess in order to allow her to spend the holidays still fantastic all the staff and

This is a lovely hotel if you simply want to relax by the pool, eat great food and see the sights of Pisa.
It was a short taxi ride from the airport to the hotel, costing just 12 euros. The reception staff were fantastic, spoke clear English and were very informative. We were upgraded to an apartment. The apartment was spacious, clean and tidy. Beware of the mosquitos though - use the air con in the bedroom. We made the mistake of leaving the windows open on the first night and I was bitten alive! around 20 bites! No problems with this the rest of the week though once we closed the windows.
The pool was great. We found people tended to only stay by a pool for a couple of hours so sunbeds readily available.
I must say we thought the hotel food in the evening was fantastic! well worth the money! and the service was great, much better than in the town. The breakfast however is basic and mainly cakes.
Pisa is easily accessible, you walk through a tunnel and then you are in the centre. At night though I preffered to get a taxi home.
Overall a great stay.
