Narrow, busy back streets lead you to this area where a number of eateries & bars are cramped together in this old buildings. il Campano looks uninteresting & unappealing from the outside - with grotty looking tables outside & unassuming doorway, (it is winter & i'm sure in the warmth of summer it would look so different) but step inside the very narrow entrance & i assure you - you wont be disappointed. Walls filled to the ceiling with wine bottles, tremendous staff serving sumptuous hearty food, rustic Ribolita followed the best dorada i've eaten. My partner chose lamb chops with rosemary. This restaurant is a true find - visit it & it will be one of the highlights of your visit to Pisa for sure.
