The hotel Il Ponte in S. Pietro is located very near to Lucca. You can park in front of the hotel in a quite street. It's free of charge.
We stayed in a triple-bed room which is air conditioned. It is big and has a sofa and a nice bathroom. The breakfast was good: The hotelier made good and fresh coffee/cappuccino and served fresh croissants (tasted like it was from a bakery).
It is easy and quick to get to the centre of Lucca (just take the car. in 5 minutes you are at the centre. The best is to park in a side street, then it is cheap/free of charge) and to Pisa (it's a 20 minutes ride. we parked next to an university building and payed 60 cents per hour).
We loved the hotel since it was simple and nice. The hotelier was very friendly and answered all of our questions.

Not plush or luxurious, but good value for the money. Staff were helpful as well as the receptionist giving us a useful tips of where to visit as well as recommending a very good restaurant which was very popular with the locals as well as being packed on a Wednesday night. Also advised us on a free parking spot almost next to the city walls to avoid parking charges.
