The hotel, although tucked away down a seemingly unappealing side street, had a pleasant outside space which was lovely to sit in when having the excellent breakfast. Our room had beautifully pained frescos and was bigger than we had expected for the price and star rating. The bathroom, although small, had exactly what one needed in it. The room was clean and well-presented. The staff, particularly Fabrizio, were welcoming and friendly and certainly made the place the pleasure it was to stay in. Its position was fantastic for getting to all the sites of the city, the walls and also the bus and train stations. Cheap bike hire was just round the corner and also one of the best sandwich shops and gelaterias. The local area was quiet and our sleep not disturbed.
