“Gardens, statuary, and house...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2013

After the Mansi Palazzo, this is our favorite palazzo in Lucca. The setting is perfect with the wall as a backdrop to lovely gardens. You can view it from the wall for free, but the price is well worth the visit to see the interior decorations of trompe d'oeil.

“Take a break in the gardens”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2012

A restful spot to lie around - interesting medical 'gadgets' in the actual museum plus wonderful murals.

“Hidden gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2012

You do have to pay to visit this one and its' not very big, but the gardens are so elegant and it's interesting to find out the history and skills (surgery and brewing) of the owners. Pity the beer is no longer brewed!

“Pretty gardens.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2012

Very pretty gardens within this so very pretty city. You can get a nice view from the wall or make a visit to Palazzo Pfanner.

The day we visited there was a little craft show going on and free sparkling wine. There is so much beauty in Lucca, this stop is not a must, but worthwhile.
