“A real find. Wonderful hospitality and a lovely property”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

We were quite surprised with his property. It was located just in the outskirts of the wonderful town of Lucca, still only a few minutes drive.
This lovely little B&B was very comfortable with lovely rooms and facilities. We were travelling with our dog and we were all made very welcome. Our room had a lovely balcony overlooking the garden. Our hostess was charming and just after we checked in arrived at our door with a tray of coffee and cakes.
She recommended a small family in restaurant nearby for dinner and it was wonderful. Breakfast was a treat, nothing was too much trouble.
The town of Lucca is another one of Tuscany's wonderful attractions.

We stayed at Il Casale di Nanni for 2 nights last month and could hardly speak more highly of the experience. Levietta and team were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the rooms were delightful, clean and full of character. The beds were very comfortable, and the view of the countryside once we threw open the bedroom shutters was gorgeous. Breakfast was the usual continental affair, however we could order eggs done in any style as well. We were offered bikes from the B&B's selection to explore the old walled town, which was great fun. Next time, we want to stay much longer, and explore more of the beautiful countryside around. Thanks Levietta - you are the best hostess ever!

Room Tip: Levietta told us the rooms on the first floor were larger than our own, although we found ours quite...

From the moment we arrived, we knew we were going to love this B&B and Lucca! Livietta immediately made us feel welcome by serving us coffee and pasteries while sitting on the patio in the sunshine. After showing us to our room, she insisted that we take bikes to begin to explore Lucca. After a couple of days of cycling the area, we felts like locals! Livietta and staff were really outstanding and went above and beyond our expectations of a B&B. Our room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The breakfast was super! We will definitely try to go back here and would recommend it highly to others.

We have just returned from 3 nights at this lovely b&b just outside the walls of Lucca. The lady owner and her staff are so kind and can't do enough to please. Breakfast was superb, room spotless, lovely atmosphere, excellent value. We'd thoroughly recommend it. Only downside was that the traffic is a bit loud in the morning, but not a real problem for us.

I spent 5 nights there in the beginning of September, and I can't wait to go back. Our room was simple but lovely. Nice and clean and with a huge bathroom. The bathroom itself wasn't in the room but just another door over, so it was no trouble at all. Our room had a tv and a fridge which we loved. The owner couldn't do enough for us, and the breakfasts every morning were superb. The pool area was relaxing with lots of available chairs, and the pool itself was spotless. Very impressed! The location of the hotel is about a 15min walk away from the city walls, and 5min drive to the train station, so it's a very good base to easily get around. Couldn't recommend it enough :)

Just returned from a three night stay in this charming and pleasant hotel. The room was simple, spotless and comfortable and the breakfast delicious. It was not warm enough to entice us to use the pool but in summer it would be wonderful after a day in the city!
What really makes the place stand out is the wonderful level of hospitality from both the owners and staff, there is such a warm atmosphere and nothing is too much trouble for them. On our final day we had to leave very early in the morning and they went to great lengths to make sure that we got breakfast before we left.
The hotel is an easy 15-20 minute stroll into the walled city, so a great base for seeing the city.
There are not many nearby shops but there is a nice baker where you can buy pastries etc and also a small pizzeria which will deliver to the hotel. In the other direction there is a little trattoria. We didn't manage to eat there because when we turned up on a very rainy night about 6.30 it was too early and no food was available. The food they were cooking smelled delicious though, so I,m sure it would be worth a visit later in the evening.
We had a wonderful stay and would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lucca who doesn't mind a walk and is looking for quiet, unpretentious accommodation at very reasonable price.

We had a wonderful relaxing 3 night stay with our two children. Liviette was so kind and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. It was very hot so we made good use of the swimming pool and the air conditioning, both excellent. Breakfast superb. Thank you!
