“Stunning hidden gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

This is one of the places whose beauty lingers in your mind for many months after you leave it, only to wish you could have stayed longer. Our recent stay at Le Murelle was perfect. My husband, four year old daughter and I found ourselves staying in an immaculate apartment decked in typical old world Tuscan style. The friendliness of Daniela and her family was as reliable as the place was gorgeous. Very central to many interesting day trip villages and an easy 10minute ride to the walled city center. The kids game room, pool, seating areas, and tastefulness of the grounds itself is, like another reviewer said, like out of a movie. Surrounded by olive groves and grapevines, this is the kind of place you excitedly go home to show off pictures about. Loooking forward to next year Daniela!

What a wonderful place to stay in Tuscany....we weren`t expecting a hole part of the house!!!...through two floors, with genuine old details. For us - a group of friends travelling around..we used this place as a hotel-only for the nights, but it was a shame we had no time to enjoy all it`s possibilities. Thanks for the hospitality, the owner spoke english well enough and was flexible - didn`t mind our late arrival and short stay (we were there only for two nights). It was also nice, that the reasonable price included everything - also the final cleaning. I will definitely be recommending this place to my "circle", hopefully go back myself aswell, maybe this time with my family. Best regards to Daniela and her family!

We spent one week close to Lucca and really had a great time. The farm-house was very nice and the swimming pool an ideal place to relax after a day-trip. On top of that, Daniela was extremely helpful in making our stay very pleasant indeed.

Room Tip: Rooms on the top floor are probably quieter.

I can only echo what has already been said about Le Murelle. We are just back from a family holiday staying in the Monte Loft apartment on the farm. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the view from the kitchen window up the hill is one to savour. The pool, grounds, seating areas, kids amenities and warm welcome from Daniela cannot be faulted.
Lucca is a 10 minute drive and well worth a visit....hire bikes and ride around the city walls, you won't regret it.
I miss this place already :-(

Le Murelle was the perfect place for a short break away from it all in the sun with my 9 month old baby and parents.

It was a straight forward 40 minutes drive from Pisa airport and very easy to find from nearby Lucca.

The beautiful pool and garden offered lots of shade to relax and eat outside, whilst the tastefully decorated rooms offered good beds all that we needed from a kitchen and airconditioning.

Daniella and her husband live nearby and were most helpful.

Just perfect.

Our family (6 persons) stayed at Le Murelle House for one week in June 2012 and we loved it. The site is simply magical, you feel like in a movie. The house is typical Tuscany, very clean and well taken care of. It is situated at approx. 10 mins car ride to Lucca, and 1 hour from lots of attractions: Florence, Cinque Terre, Chianti, San Gimiano, etc.
Our guest, Daniella, is the sweetest person who welcomed us warmly and was very helpful. She offers home-made honey, olive oil and her delicious jams, try pear, hummm.
You won't want to leave!!

Lorenzo's house at Le Murelle was just right for us; really spacious, comfortable and we loved its traditional, rustic charms. The gardens are beautiful with plenty of outdoor seating areas and the play den and playground was really appreciated by our children. We couldn't get enough of the pool; to lie by it at the foot of the hills, gazing up at the vineyards and forests was a taste of heaven never to be forgotten.

The location of Le Murelle was perfect for us too; we fell in love with Lucca; it's architecture and amenities, Viareggio with it's clean and well serviced beaches and we even miss the little local supermarket. It was also great being so near to Pisa and within easy driving distance of Florence. This is a wonderful place for walking and cycling too.

The owners are very friendly, cheerful and keep the houses, grounds and pool very well maintained. They also speak good English.

We were very comfortable during our stay and genuinely loved the house however a few niggles were: no waste paper baskets in the bedrooms; Kitchen equipment was a little eclectic and dated and no essential supplies were provided such as milk, hand soap, washing up liquid, tea / coffee, olive oil, etc. We arrived late at night with nothing to eat or drink but managed to just make it in time to a Pizzeria for some take away pizzas and wine before it closed!

Our party consisted of 3 adults and two 4 year olds and we all recommend Le Murelle to anyone.
