I did not have the chance to read the reviews of this b&b before making my reservation and I must admit I was a little concerned about the room not having an en-suite bathroom, but I changed my mind the moment I crossed the doorstep of this fabulous b&b and met Simona and Guido: such wonderful, wonderful hosts! One can really feel the love and diligence they have for their home. The b&b is tastefully furnished with antiques, rooms are spacious and well appointed (ours had a comfortable four-poster bed, a desk, a large ottoman, a wardrobe, a coat hanger and two windows). Bathrooms are always spotless clean and their interior design reflects the "old-style allure" of the entire house. Breakfast, which consists of home made cake, juices and other delicious treats, is served on the tiny balcony overlooking the medieval roofs and bell towers. After a long day strolling in beautiful Lucca (a gem of a city), this could also be the ideal spot to have an aperitif.
