“Delicious but lethal cocktails”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2013

Very cool little bar. Suitable for the over 30's. Brilliant and unusual cocktails and I recommend trying these. They have all the old favorites too. Measures are not used! You have been warned.....

“cool bar in Oltrarno”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2013

The decor is a mix of post-industrial chic and kitsch (check out the drawing of a lady wearing an octopus on her head, seemingly happily so, on the menu card).
There are many kinds of vodka, whisky and rum to please all palates as well as soft drinks and snacks. Prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere cool and relaxed.
Weird artwork of badly painted abstract fishes in primary colours adorn the unfinished walls.
Several rooms offer plush comfortable seating, or you can stay in the front and stand at the bar or sit at the one rickety iron table to watch the street.
The background music was a pleasant mixture of blues and jazz, just loud enough for ambience but not covering up conversation.
Free wifi available.

“Sit with the locals.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2012

Great bar with THE BEST amaretto sours I've ever tasted in my entire life. Dolce Vita is always crowded in the evening with fantastic outdoor seating in the summer! Friendly staff.

“Lunch before seeing the Frescos at Cappella Brancci”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2011

Smart fashionable café with lots of art works. We sat outside under the awning and had a bottle of mineral water as an accompaniment to a Salad Nicoise and a Salad Dolce Vita. Food quality was fantastic and at a reasonable price for Florence.

“Modern, trendy bar in Oltrarno. Great aperitivo!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2011

Great place to people watch and feel like a local, while nursing a spritz and munching on delicious apertivi. Anyone complaining that this place is expensive is either crazy or oblivious, because for a mere 7 euros you can order a Spritz and then chow down to your heart's content on the plentiful aperitivo buffet. Just watch out, because the friendly bartenders at this joint make them pretty strong! The interior of the bar is classy and modern (I swear it looked better in real life than on the website). Still, most of the attractive, well-dressed Florentines in their 20's and 30's spill out onto the veranda even in the cold of late October.
