We booked this hotel as we were driving from Germany through to Naples so we used this place as just a place to sleep as we arrived at 11pm, This hotel was very scary upon entry, outside i was actually wondering if i would have a car to come back to..... very rough area, when finally finding the hotel we had to walk 15 minutes away to another hotel to check in dragging my children around late at night in this area was very unsettling, we have a large family and was given 2 rooms both on seperate floors which we made a priority to be near each other on arrival. After a rude discussion from the Italian receptionist we were then made to pay 60 euros for the cleaning of the room when we left!!!! to tired to argue we finally got the keys and walked back to the studios room, the rooms were cosy very old fashioned but sweet, however from taking my shoes off and walking 2 meters to the shower my feet were black...... so i was actually wondering what the hell i was paying extra for.... we just slept and was quite relieved that our car was still there in the morning.

Stay away from this terrible place, dirty, stinky, awfull building, check in is in another hotel 200 meters from the building, there is no front desk, no telephone, no internet, extra hidden charge, beside that it is expensive, charge for parking, cleaning and tax almost 100$ more, BESIDE ALL THESE there are BED BUGS, my sister got bitten all over her body, needed to go to the hospital because she is allergic to the bites, you could phisically see the bugs on the bed. Complain to the staff in the other hotel, only said " I am sorry" , EXPEDIA should erase this Hotel from its list, it is not good at all, do not waist your money and ruin your vacation choosing this ugly place, very upset.

We just stayed here a week ago and upon leaving we thought we had mosquito bites but it turned out we had bed bugs!!! This place is filthy and dirty which is breeding place for bed bugs. We complained to the staff but they said they couldn't do anything. DON'T STAY HERE. It has wrecked the rest of our vacation trying to get rid of the bed bugs on clothing, suitcases etc.

Pros: Good location, big bathroom, have kitchen to cook
Cons: Dirty, dark, very Noisy, horrible bed with bed bugs, hard to find, no Free wifi

We booked a room of 5 that is located in 78 Visle Fratelli Rosselli 1st floor. The room is horrible and not so clean. Because it is in the corner of the 2 major roads, the bus and motorcycle were very noisy. I have a hard time to sleep. My friend had some terrible bites by bed bugs and his hand and neck were swollen. I had a horrible time there and wish I didn't book this hotel.

We stayed two weeks. Expedia offered a discount due to the length of our stay. The room was large and clean, facing an interior courtyard. On two nights we had noisy neighbors, but otherwise it was very quiet. The dishwasher did not work, but the kitchen was otherwise adequately equipped. A CONAD store by the train station made shopping cheap and easy. We cooked every single meal at the apartment, and consequently saved a a lot of money by avoiding expensive restaurants. The stovetop was not "American style", but we quickly figured out that the 3 o'clock position is "off" and the 4 o'clock position is "high". There was a toaster and corkscrew, along with wineglasses, plates, bowls, colander, knives etc. The tableware was not especially elegant but adequate. There is an American-style coffee maker that uses cone filters, which were impossible to find in the city (Italians drink espresso instead). So for our American coffee, we use two trimmed paper napkins as filters, and that worked fine.

Others have commented on the odd bathroom, with its poor drainage. Those comments are valid, but the bathroom was clean and otherwise modern. We simply learned to use the mat to mop the water into the drain once we had showered. The bathroom had heated water pipes that made it very convenient to dry hand-laundered clothes.

Others have commented on rude reception and poor service. We found those comments to be untrue. Reception, while not particularly friendly, was perfectly correct. As for poor service - this is a self-catered apartment. You are not paying for service, so do not expect it. The accommodation included two cleanings and linen changes a week. Do not expect anything else and you will not be disappointed.

A couple others have commented on insects. The only night we had mosquitoes (even in March) was the night we left the window open. Keep the window closed and you will not have a problem. There was one comment about ants. Yes, we saw a few. They were not terrible. We kept most of our food in the fridge to discourage them. A very minor thing, really.

The neighborhood is fine, but not fancy. We felt absolutely secure. Florence around the train station is certainly busy and it attracts its share of beggars and hustlers, but it is not at all unsafe. The apartment's location, five minutes' walk from the station, was far enough away so that not even that sort of activity was in evidence around the apartment.

We did not have a problem locating Hotel Alamanni, where we picked up the key. Look for the faded red flag just past the bus stop on the left. Show them your passport and pay the 25 euro cleaning fee per stay, and they hand you the key and a map. Very simple, really. The apartment is located about 100 meters further up the street.

We thought the value for money was very good and would gladly stay here again. Perfect for those looking to save money on restaurants. Bigger than typical European hotel rooms.

It is large studio, not far from the center, easy to find, serviced daily. On the other hand a number of little things makes you irritated, notably plastic curtains in the shower, the lack of shelve for the cosmetics above the sink, tragic cheapest towels good to wipe the floor and not the human body. The studio is dark even if one turns all lights. And contrary to the owners annoucement Internet is not available to Gemini tenants at their mother nearby Alamani hotel. It is definitely too costly for the service provided.
