“Close to everything, very comfortable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We stayed here for 3 nights on a long weekend to Florence. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the station and easy to find, the staff were warm and welcoming and very helpful throughout our stay. The room was basic but comfortable and breakfast was more than adequate for what we wanted. A great little hotel I would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I recently spent 2 weeks in Europe and this hotel was by far the best we stayed in... and the least expensive! The room was clean, comfortable, and updated. Breakfast was included in the price and it was wonderful-- fresh pastries, jams, breads, and meats every morning. The owners were delightful people, very friendly and fun to talk to. The hotel itself is in a great location... Less than a 5 minute walk from the train station and within walking distance of anything and everything in Florence. Would definitely stay there again!

The location is good 5 minutes away from the main train station and few steps away from the attractions.

The atmosphere of the hotel is extreamly good (warm and homely) the owner of the hotel (angelica) is very caring, sweet, friendly and kind which will make your stay much more comfortable.

The room was comfortable and sweet a little but not an issue. The bathroom as well as the room was very clean and in good condition. We would highly recommend ! :)

Just few min by walk, really close to the central station and walking distance to all the attractions that you are looking for. The place is really clean and the family that is running this business will make sure that you get everything you need to make your stay as the best. This is an amazing place at the best price in the best nieborhood... Really worth it. As it's really busy all the time, my suggestion is to book your room in andvance.

A couple friends and I spent a weekend in Florence and decided to stay at this hotel: the location seemed great and the price was fair! However, shortly after booking the room, the price that was on the receipt was VERY different on my visa bill. The amount of hidden fees were ridiculous: bumping the cost up an additional 60 euros, and when we arrived, the owner demanded yet an ADDITIONAL 25 euros for "taxes", which I'm sure weren't even necessary, considering taxes were already labeled on the visa bill. (and then as we checked out, she tried to make us pay for the taxes again....) Overall, the room was small, but clean and comfortable. The free breakfast was a nice touch as well. However, the main problem being that she shuts the whole hotel down at midnight...as in if you try to return after midnight, you are S.O.L. So if you wanted to experience the exciting nightlife of Florence, you simply cannot stay here. Plus the door she locks is locked so severely, I wasn't entirely sure that we would be able to escape in case of emergency, such as a fire. Our one friend accidentally returned too late, to which the woman insisted he slept outside. (eventually we were able to convince her to let him in). So it depends on your intensions while traveling if this hotel is one for you! For us, we would have been much better off at one of the million other nearby hotels or hostels.

Hello,
What you have just wrote is not true. You only booked 1 double room instead of 2 so it's normal you have to pay for an extra room, dont you think? There were no extra charges apart from the city tax which you must pay in all large cities and it wasn't 25,00euro as stated but less. We do not have a curfew but the customer can come in at any time we only state to the customer on arrival that the main street door closes for security reasons at 01.00am but our customers are free to come in when they want. I dont understand why you find it so easy to critisize a Hotel only when you have left, if you had problems why did you not tell us when you were with us and i would of love to have found a solution. Thank God that none of our customers think the same us you take a look at our feedbacks.
Regards
Fernando Siringo

Great location, just near the train station. Very pet friendly too; the owner/operator and his wife were very informative on pet laws in Italy and received our dog with a warm reception. Fernando was a welcome host and gracious owner/operator of the facility. Be careful because if you're not paying attention you'll walk past the hotel entrance. It is located on the third floor of the building and there is a small sign designating the hotel's location.

We had to change our plans the day after we arrived and Fernando understood our circumstances and allowed us to checkout early without any penalties.

Overall a great family ran establishment. I would recommend the hotel Angelica to anyone traveling to florence. I plan to take my family to Florence and we will definitely stay at hotel Angelica.

Fernando, than you for your and your wife's hospitality...

Grazie Millie
