“Good Staff, Decent stay.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2014

The Hotel staff was quite friendly and helpful. The rooms were neat but a little dark and dull. The location is also decent however it wasn't easy for us to find the Hotel. I dont know why they never mentioned that its bang opposite the tram station,Leopoldo, which would made our way easy. It has free WiFi but only available in the hotel lobby :(.
The breakfast spread was also OK with few options for vegetarians. Overall had a decent stay.

Very nice hotel on the outskirts of Florence. It was so quiet, we slept until 10am! You can easily walk to the hot spots in Florence but we just as easily took a taxi (the front desk can call you one and it is there in less than 5 min) to our starting point each day. We had a superior room and it was huge! The soaking tub was wonderful after a long day of walking. It can fit two people! The bed was the most comfortable bed we slept on in Italy (comparing 4 other hotels) and we were very happy about that. The bar is a snore and the rooftop is too, but it is perfect for a couple of days when you are barely at the hotel but to recharge for your next full day of sightseeing. The breakfast each morning was very nice....scrambled eggs and all!

Room Tip: Superior rooms are HUGE!

We stayed here just for one night on our first visit to Florence and found the hotel like all the other AC Hotels we have stayed at in Italy, clean, friendly and close "enough" to the city center. The staff stood out at the hotel in Florence. Once we checked in we came back down to the reception desk and the gentleman who checked us in spent 15 minutes with us going over the map of Florence and showing us placed to eat, places to see AND the most important places for gelato.
Easy walking to the city center and quiet. We are headed back again in a few weeks for some wine tours. We will be staying here again.

Make sure you take the elevator to the top floor and walk through the "gym" to the balcony. BEAUTIFUL view. Take your camera up there.

Room Tip: They are all the same that we have requested so I am no help here.

The Staff was Very good. The rooms aré Small but Very stylish And Clean. Quiet And Functional for business And Vacation haven. Not a Tourism spot but close to the train Station by taxi. Breakfast was good and wifi Workday WELL. A bit pricey but in Florence It's all pricey. Your Only An hour train Ride to Pisa. Go and enjoy.

Room Tip: Get a room on the Outside facing ópera house

We stayed at this hotel for one night after driving in from Pisa. This hotel is not in the center of things but it is only a 15 minute walk to the Duomo and the city center. The rooms are very nice and clean and the staff were very nice. We ate at the restaurant for dinner and the service was great. We had a early morning flight and had to leave the hotel at 5 am, they gave us a great bagged breakfast so we could eat at the Airport. I will stay here again if I ever go back to Florence

Room is pretty, stylish, modern.
Breakfast is complete buffet (eggs, yogurt, juice, cheese, fruit) a little heavy on the pastries.
Skimpy on towels and the strangest single round soap ball.
TV all in Italian.
Double bed is one mattress and not two pushed together.

Arrived in Florence via train from Venice, anticipating a shuttle service was available (my fault for assuming). Was told it's just a short walk. DO NOT WALK FROM TRAIN STATION. Nice looking modern hotel but in a not so good area and quite far from all sites. Our room was clean however our view was an old ratty building with so much graffiti we were worried about our safety after dark.
If you want to experience Florence in a pleasant manner, feel safe, walk and see the sights then come back to your hotel for a rest, DO NOT STAY AT THE AC Hotel Firenze by Marriott.
