“Cold, not so great bed, nice people, good location (Read this one)”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 days ago NEW

We are a couple who travelled from Australia to Florence. The location of the accommodation was good (close to shopping and walking streets, and points of interest such as museums and churches and stuff). The staff knew quite a bit about the area and were able to point out the points of interest on the free map they gave us when we checked in.

The building is quite old so the only heating system they have is those old gas heaters (i think) so the room was very very cold (in winter time; which is when we were there). If you were after a double room, they'll smoosh two single beds together, which seems to be trending around Europe i must say.

I am aware that Italian people don't really eat breakfast so it's not really anything to rave about. But if you're okay with coffee and nutella toast then you'll be okay. Although, buying a baguette and cheese from the supermarket would be just as good if you didn't want to partake.

Overall, it's not so much a hotel and it's not so much a hostel, but it's somewhere in between. Like everyone else's review is saying, you get what you pay for. When you think about it, you're only sleeping there, and then going out during the day to look at cool stuff and drink tiny coffees at tiny cafes with tiny italian people.

Room Tip: Not sure about the other rooms, but our room's window was not facing the road. I assume these ro...

The prices are very reasonable, considering the size of the room and the breakfast included. Everyone was very welcoming and helpful. I liked that the owners mailed me some tips and info about Italy, right after I made the booking.Though the room looked quite old and the bathroom was not in the best condition, the attitude of the staff and the service was great!

Our room was large and clean, the bathroom even had a hair dryer, and the hotel was conveniently located near some major bus stops, a coop and some very nice coffee shops.

One thing to note: try staying on the side NOT facing the main street. The trash car comes every morning at 6am and the noise is deafening. The buses are also very frequent starting at 7am.

Loved this hotel, clean rooms and wonderful wonderful staff. Breakfast was great, the location was within walking distance to everything! Letizia was so accommodating and called to reserve tours and dinner reservations, as well as recommending sights and food places to check out. Would stay here again no doubt!

This hostel was near everything! It was easy to walk around, clean, and the staff were friendly and polite! The room was fairly large, and the bathroom included a hair dryer. Breakfast was more than I expected at the hostel. I had to be careful in the shower so it didn't overflow, but otherwise, it was awesome! Is stay again!

Myself and my sister stayed at Hotel d'Azeglio for 4 nights last week. Before arriving, we were sent a very helpful email giving all info we could possibly need before our arrival! Letizia gave us a very welcoming introduction to the hotel when we arrived, including a map showing all the main sites and good places to eat! The hotel was lovely and clean, quiet at night, and in a good location - 5/10 min walk from good restaurants, and 15/20 minute walk from the main tourist sites. Breakfast was a basic continental breakfast - some fresh fruit would have made this a perfect start to the day! All the staff were lovely and friendly and went out of their way to ensure you enjoyed your stay. Very good for the price we paid. I would definitely recommend here and stay again.
