“Another great stay for our high school group”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013

This was the second stay for us with a high school group over three years. We stayed two nights in the hotel and found the rooms to be of good size for triples, quads, and a double. The double room was large and was very quaint with the fireplace and armoire. The beds were comfortable. The staff were very kind and helpful to us. We did not chhose the hotel breakfast option but instead used the local take out bakeries and cafes nearby. The hotel is well located for the San Lorenzo market, Academie, Duomo and not too far to the Uffici and Palzza del Vecchio. And for our group carring all our luggae by train, it's just a 4 minute walk to the train station. The price for the hotel is a very good values especially for group rates. The biggest negatiove was the Wi-Fi. It is not free, was out one entire day and when it was working did not reach the rooms very well. I would suggest this is an area of attention needed by the hotel. I would still recommend it highly.

We had a disappointing stay at this hotel to say the least. Yes the location is good but the staff are rude and the rooms were not overly clean. We arrived early due to an early train. We were rushed around from one room to another to put our luggage away. We seemed to be a hassle rather than paying guests. Even when we asked for a map it seemed like a tough task. Later when we were booked into our room, we found the toilet and many of the switches in the room quite dirty. Internet access is 2 Euros for 4 hrs. When I went to pay for it I was told to come back later because he was busy fixing something in a back room. Surely you don't tell guests to go away when they are paying? The policy at this hotel is that you leave your key with reception. I know this is the custom at many hotels but we were literally chased down the stairs when they suspected we hadn't left our key. There was no one at the desk at the time so we left it on the counter. The staff members involved were very rude. As far as the bed goes, we had a double room which was two singles pushed together and the mattress had sharp plastic buttons that dug into you all night. Overall we would not stay here again. The staff seem to be in it for money rather than good customer service.

Stayed at the Hotel Annabella in August and was very pleased with everything. I phoned late one evening and was offered a special price for 4 nights.
Although I only booked a single , was given An upgrade to double, with a bug balcony too . It was incredibly hot in August 38 degrees most days so it was also good to have air conditioning that made life easier. Everything right outside your door and very helpful team there that made my stay very welcoming.
But the best thing would have to be the rooftop terrace garden for a drink each evening before dinner.
I will definately be back there next time I am in Florence

3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

I stayed at the Annabelle hotel in late May as a side trip to Florence for pleasure while on a business trip to Italy. The room was very clean, the bed comfortable and the location was very close to train station. The staff was friendly & helpful. My only complaints are: cost of breakfast (cheaper to go around the corner to the supermarket ( super mercato) near McDonald's. and the layout of the bathroom. The window in the bathroom while open partially blocked the access to the toilet and the shower was so small with no ledge to keep shampoo, razor or soap. I wish they had left out the bidet and had a bigger shower. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for a for budget minded travelers just looking for a clean place to staywithin walking distance to train station. If you want ot spring for a taxi, I would stay near the river.

I booked this sight unseen . it is very close to the train station and also te leather maket. Reception is up three flights of stairs but there is an operating lift just big enough for two people and two large backpacks. The hotel is a very pleasant place to stay with lovely and very helpful staff . We booked for 3 nights but extended for 2 more . Our room was bigger than others we had stayed in and was very neat and clean. i would without doubt stay here again
