Owner description: This outdoor museum space is a peaceful place to rest your weary feet after a long day of sight seeing. Admire some of Florence's most iconic original sculptures from Cellini's "Perseus" to Giambologna's "Rape of the Sabines."

“Fanastic open air museum in heart of Florence (Firenze)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2014

This small open air museum is located on the corner of Piazza della Signoria and just steps away from the world famous Uffizi Gallery. Unlike the Uffizi Gallery, which is massive, filled wall to wall with paintings, art work, statues, with long lines and costly admission fees, Loggia dei Lanzi is free, open air with nothing but sculptures which you can see from all angles, free to take photos of. Since it's open air, it's more like a mini park, so you can go any time, stay as short or long as you'd like. You can sit there and enjoy the views of Piazza della Signoria in front of you, people watch, enjoy something to eat from one of the many locate eateries, or just absorb the atmosphere and surroundings.

It's free, unique, centrally located, and easy to find, so don't miss this.

“One of the most unique museum spaces you will see”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2014

This collection of outdoor statues in one of Florence's busiest centres is worth a browse. The statues accompanied by their titles and names of artists make for a very unusual but pleasant artistic experience. Everything from Perseus to Hercules can be seen in sculpted form here.

Stunning sculpture which you can see for free! Surrounded by a square where there is always something happening and some decent bars and restaurants, what more could you want!

“One of the best things to see in Florence!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2014

The Loggia provides a roof for a few statues which you must see when in the city! All of them made with perfection, and you might guess one or two from your history books. Amazing to see it live. My favourites - The Rape of the Sabine women an Perseus with the head of Medusa Gorgon.
