Owner description: This outdoor museum space is a peaceful place to rest your weary feet after a long day of sight seeing. Admire some of Florence's most iconic original sculptures from Cellini's "Perseus" to Giambologna's "Rape of the Sabines."

Enough said. Just a nice place to rest your weary body & feet and start engaging your eyes and brain to enjoy the sculpture during thr Rennaissance or people watch.

“More than a place to sit in the shade”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

If it is hot or even raining, the Loggia is a perfect place to get out of the weather. But, it is certainly more than that. These are the sculptures you have seen in art books. There are, indeed, so many and so close together that they may lose their importance and impact, but these are masterpieces. The loggia could have used some clean-up the times we were there, but people seem to see it as a resting place rather than being wowed by the art. Worth a serious stop.

“Ok for a quick look.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2012 via mobile

Not a stand out attraction. If you can find a space to sit then keeps you out of the Sun. Some nice statues though.

“good for 15 minutes to 30 minutes.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2012

Just across Piazza della signoria and the replica of david, There are loads of sculptures namely perseus, The rape of sabine women, among others. Think of it as an appetizer for uffizi or piazza dellaccademia. Depending on the crowd, it shouldn't take that long for you to drop by, have a look at the pictures and go to your next spot.

“Outdoor Museum”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2012

Free to view and they control the crowds. Many statues less known but well worth a look as it is the side of the piazza della signoria and opposite palazio vecchio.

Like a lot of open areas just be wary of gypsies and beggars.
